Karan was a Nord, and daughter of a prominent citizen in Markarth. Her body leans against a rock at a small unmarked camp just south of Soljund's Sinkhole. Lying on the ground nearby is the corpse of her lover, Talvur, and next to her is her journal. It reveals that she was eloping with the poor Dunmer miner when they were killed, presumably by the animal which attacks you.

Behind the tent is a hollowed-out stump where Talvur has stored his worldly possessions, which you can loot.

If you return to the camp later on, you will find the camp has been removed, and a shrine of Mara has been placed nearby.

Karan wears clothes, a pair of boots, and a hat. She also carries some gold on her person.

Notes

• Unlike Talvur, she goes unnamed, despite her journal explicitly naming her. She also uses the generic name of "Breton", despite being a Nord.
