Forgotten Vale Overlook

Forgotten Vale Overlook is a small river valley in the Forgotten Vale, which can be accessed by using the paragon platform with the emerald paragon. It is the location of Unknown Book, Vol. II.

Walkthrough

Exterior

The exterior to this river valley is the Forgotten Vale. It can be accessed by using the paragon platform with the emerald paragon, or by using the Whirlwind Sprint dragon shout when standing on one of the icebergs outside Temple Balcony.

Forgotten Vale Overlook

The paragon portal teleports you to the eastern bank of a turbulent river in the isolated river valley above the waterfall at the southern end of the frozen lake. The broken stone arch forming the portal allows you to return directly to the paragon platform. There are no enemies here. The river is fairly wide, with rapids among the many rocks in the water, and both of the riverbanks are cluttered with broken masonry and fallen trees. Head downstream by proceeding north along the eastern bank. Just to the right of where the waterfall cascades into the lake below is a lootable skeleton lying next to an unlocked stone chest, with an enchanted elven greatsword, a quiver of elven arrows, a random enchanted bow, and Unknown Book, Vol. II on the ground in front of the chest. Looking up towards the northwest, you'll see the balcony of the Inner Sanctum on the cliffs above.
