Race

Legoless created this page with race set to Altmer. Aran Anumarile Autaracu Alatasel changed it to unknown/Mer. I haven't completely payed attention to the quest (so my group member didn't have to wait for me), but I haven't found any mention of his race, and even thought him dwemer. Does anyone know any evidence to his race? -- SarthesArai ^Talk 17:22, 4 March 2016 (UTC)

I've restored his race as Altmer, since that is clearly what he looks like. I imagine the reason for the removal is due to the pervasive speculation that this guy is a Dwemer. However, if you read his actual research notes it becomes quite apparent that he is not:

"Rkindaleft still houses sufficient means. It was the Dwemer's intention, after all."

It should be abundantly clear that this guy is a Dwemer scholar who came to Rkindaleft after the disappearance of that race. There is simply no reason to assume he is anything other than Altmer, given the time period. —Legoless (talk) 12:03, 4 August 2018 (UTC)

The reason I originally changed the page was due to the fact that the Auditor's race is not quite that clear—while he obviously uses the same base model as the Altmer, his skin colour is a lot paler and his appearance is a bit off. As the Maormer similarly use an Altmer base model, I did not feel that it was safe to determine the race; he could just as well be a Falmer, for example. I agree that he is most likely intended to be an Altmer (I never bought that he could be Dwemeri myself), though, and if there is consesus about considering him that here, I'm for it. —Aran Anumarile Autaracu Alatasel (talk) 12:24, 4 August 2018 (UTC)

He might be pale but there is still a distinctive yellow hue. Unless there's an argument that he is Aldmer or Chimer or another race of golden-skinned elf, I can't see any other possibility. Lore aside, it is as you said: definitely uses the Altmer model. —Legoless (talk) 12:30, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
