Wyress Rangifer

Wyress Rangifer is a Breton wyress who hunts alongside her sisters, Strigidae and Ursus, in the March of Sacrifices. Before you engage in battle with her, you can observe her sacrificing Gaedil, turning his essence into a channeled green flame that empowers the Wyresses. Rangifer possesses healing abilities that allow her to aid Strigidae and Ursus as they engage you with bow and mace respectively. She represents Uricanbeg, the Great Dark Stag.

Skills and Abilities

As a boss type enemy, Wyress Rangifer is immune to all crowd control effects.

Minor Wound

A basic ranged attack that deals minor magical damage.

Stag Aura

The boss has a green aura around her (see image) that heals her allies slowly over time. Keep them separate to prevent this. When killed, she will spawn a ghostly stag that emanates the same aura. The stag cannot be killed and will move on its own accordingly.

Focused Healing

The enemy heals its allies over time as indicated by a yellow beam. Interrupt the boss to prevent this.

Rite of Passage

The enemy channels a spell healing itself and nearby allies for very large amounts in a large yellow circle. This ability is usually used when the enemy is on low health. This spell must be interrupted as soon as possible to make the fight shorter.

Idling before battle:

Wyress Rangifer: "Frozen in awe before our might? I can hardly blame you."

Wyress Rangifer: "You're here for the Great Hunt? Well, Lord Hircine's standards have certainly lowered."

Wyress Rangifer: "You should run while you have the chance. I always love a good chase."

Group wipe:

Wyress Rangifer: "My, my. You all fell so easily."

Wyress Rangifer: "And I thought this would be a hunt worth bragging about. How disappointing."

Wyress Rangifer: "Another successful hunt. As always."

After she is killed:

Wyress Rangifer: "No worries, sisters. My spirit remains."

Wyress Rangifer: "The spirit of the stag lives on."

Wyress Rangifer: "My defeat is not my end."

When she is the last to be defeated:

Wyress Rangifer: "We will return, hunter …. Our spirits live on."

Notes

• She wears the Stag-Heart Skull Sallet, which shows her reverence to Uricanbeg, Hircine's Stag aspect.
