Online:Whispers of the Wisps
|
<or>
Deep Graves is plagued by wisps. They're stealing away travelers at the gravesite. No one is sure what caused their sudden aggression. [if taken from Parash]
Quick Walkthrough[edit]
Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
You can begin the quest by reading a warning notice pinned to a pole, road north of Deep Graves.
- "Beware all travelers! The Deep Graves are no longer safe for pilgrims. Do not listen to the wisps."
- <Below the notice, there is an addendum in a different hand.>
- <Read the addendum.>
- "There is no hope. Please do not make me dig your grave too.
- —Parash"
- I should look into this.
You'll find Parash down at the entrance to Deep Graves. Speak to him. He tells you that it's a dangerous time to be around Deep Graves, and that you should come back later. Wisps are attacking and enthralling travelers, and he'd appreciate it if someone would stop them.
You'll now need to locate travelers who are under attack, and free them from marauding wisps in the cemetery surrounded by the xanmeer and along the roads around Deep Graves. You'll need to kill the wisps to free the travelers. Once you've rescued five travelers, return to Parash and attempt to speak with him:
- <Parash does not react to your presence.>
- Parash?
- <Parash's gaze continues to focus on something you can't quite see.>
A ghostly figure will appear behind Parash, hovering in the air and urging you to follow her. Follow her to the center of Deep Graves, and she'll start channeling a spell, telling you to relax and stay with her. At this point, another Argonian will call out to the two of you. The Argonian, named Xijai-Teel, tells you to stay strong, then banishes the spirit.
Speak to her to complete the quest. She says that she's never seen the spirit go after someone so intently. She explains that the spirit commands the lost souls in the graveyard. Furthermore, she hasn't been destroyed; just silenced for the time being. The spirit you encountered is ancient, and has suddenly taken a dangerous interest in the living.
Quest Stages[edit]
<Alias=LocationHold>
) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
