Valkynaz Orran is a Dremora who can be found at Vandacia's Deadlands Keep.

Quest-Related Events

When you enter the audience chamber with the Reekers to cause a distraction, Valkynaz Orran will be standing by Vandacia's side as he demonstrates what he means to do with the Ambitions to Sombren. Eveli Sharp-Arrow will run into the room and shoot at the Reekers, causing a noxious cloud to fill the room:

Councilor Vandacia: "Who dares … interrupt this sacred ceremony? Destroy them!"

Eveli Sharp-Arrow: "Now that's what I call a distraction! Let's grab Sombren and get out of here."

The Valkynaz will then escort the High Priest to a safe location:

Valkynaz Orran: "Councilor, this way! Before the odor overwhelms you!"

You will need to meet Lyranth and the others in the keep's entry hall to escape, but Valkynaz will appear with other Daedra to stop you:

Valkynaz Orran: "Stop them! Recapture the Ambition at all costs!"

While Valkynaz Orran is protected by his shield, several waves of Daedra will teleport in to attack you. Eventually, the Valkynaz will step in:

Valkynaz Orran: "Very well. I shall deal with you myself."

Skills and Abilities

During Valkynaz Orran fight, he will use a variety of Armamancer abilities. The weapon he has conjured will decide what he can do:

One-handed Sword:

Daedric Charge

Valkynaz Orran will crouch down and begin charging purple energy around him, he then launches himself forward at lightning speed. If he hits you will be knocked over and receive heavy damage. However the attack is blockable.

Quick Strike

Basic melee attack that causes physical damage.

Heavy Attack

A charged melee swing that does moderate physical damage. This attack can be blocked to set the enemy off balance. If the enemy's weapon is empowered, this attack will root the player for a few seconds as well.

Bow—he will sometimes change his weapon to a bow:

Daedric Volley

He fires several arrows up into the air, causing a cluster of AoE circles.

Arrow Explosion

After the arrows land, they will explode after a moment, causing additional damage.

Quick Strike

A basic physical attack, occurs when you are close to the Valkynaz.^{[verification needed — see talk page]}
