Quest-Related Dialogue[edit]
When you ask Mathragor about a curse, she will appear:
- "I must speak with you."
- Who are you?
- "I am the herald of Z'en, keeper of the balance. I collect and assign the debts of the faithful. I am here to stop this cycle.
The Drublog paid many times over for the death of Mathragor's people. His curse will only feed Mauloch's fury." - What's this curse Mathragor spoke of?
- "He offers his blood as sacrifice, calling upon the forest itself to mete out justice. But it is not justice he seeks. It is vengeance.
Z'en will not have more blood shed this day, but one death is better than many. If you cannot stop him, I must." - What can I do?
- "What can you do? What you must.
Mathragor has put his trust in you before. You have the chance to guide him away from this path." - Perhaps I could reason with him.
- "The spoken word can shape the future in ways stronger than the tears and blood of thousands.
If your words ring true, perhaps Mathragor will see a new path." - I'll try to persuade him to abandon the curse.
- <Ends the conversation>
- What if I'm unable to persuade him?
- "Mathragor has lost sight of Z'en in his grief. He sees no other recourse but more death.
My master grows impatient with this world. I will not hesitate to strike him down if he defies the will of Z'en." - I will talk to him.

- I don't think I can help him.

Speak to her again and she'll only say:
- "Mathragor's fate is in your hands."
If you fail to convince Mathragor to stand down, he will try to call for Mauloch to aid him but the Herald of Z'en burns him to death in response:
- Mathragor: "The Drublog will pay in kind for this massacre! I will have their blood!"
- The Emissary of Z'en: "Mathragor, this bloodshed ends…with your death."
- <Mathragor is set on fire and dies.>
If Mathragor was forced to be put down, she will reward you for the quest.
- "Mathragor was blinded by rage and remorse. He has fallen from the even path, into darkness."
- What did you do?
- "Z'en has decreed the payment in kind must end. Mathragor defied his will.
I took his life to restore the balance, but it was not without cost. Z'en tires of such mortal feuds." - Wasn't he your last follower?
- "One must discard what makes the scales tip. This is the truth of Z'en. Mathragor no longer wished for balance. Thus, he was no longer a follower of Z'en.
Farewell, mortal. Z'en has turned his back from this world. Until the scales tip once again."
If you exit out of the conversation before turning in the quest, she will alternatively say:
- "And so the story ends, mortal. Your part in the balance won't be forgotten."
- Why would Z'en kill his own follower? (Leads to quest completion dialogue)
