Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
Talk to Andewen at Falinesti Autumn Site. She asks you to help Telenger the Artificer since he's driving her crazy. She tells you a cult controls the Halls of Ichor, tunnels at the site, and they sealed the entrance to the Halls with corruption stones. If you destroy the stones, you'll be able to enter the tunnels. Telenger is somewhere inside them.
The three corruption stones are south of Andewen. Each stone is in a small cave, along with hostile members of the Arbordawn cult.
After the stones have been destroyed, head south and enter the Halls of Ichor. On a chair to the left, you find Fascinating Relics, a note from Telenger to his assistant. Continue west into the tunnels, and talk to Telenger. He thinks the Arbordawn cult is harmless compared to the Daedra. He transformed Indring, the leader of the cult, into a chicken just before you arrived. Telenger uncovered an ancient temple in the deeper tunnels. He wants you to accompany him to the temple, and you agree to meet in the lower tunnels.
The Temple in the Tunnels[edit]
Telenger ports himself away with a spell, and you follow the path to a vine door, continue north to another vine door, then follow the path around. Talk to Telenger. If he's not immediately able to interact with, you may have to wait a bit. You need to protect Telenger from spider daedra as he dispels the wards.
Enter the temple with Telenger. However, the Spider Queen ensnares him in a magical chain. Defeat her and the other two spider daedra, then follow Telenger into the next room.
Webspinner, Debaser, and Consumer[edit]
- Mephala: "Ah, welcome to my realm, mortals."
- Telenger the Artificer: "A daedric prince herself in these tunnels? I should have known!"
- Mephala: "Do be quiet, Artificer, your companion is far more intriguing. Come child, speak with me!"
The Daedric Prince Mephala appears as a ghostly spider daedra. She reveals that the Arbordawn cultists are her newest Deathweavers. She tells you to take Telenger with you and leave, since "you've done your part."
Speak to Telenger about Mephala and the cult. He says opening the temple was a bad idea, and it needs to be resealed.
- Telenger the Artificer: "It'll be the work of a moment. Mephala! You face Telenger the Artificer. You'll learn what it means to ensnare one such as me in your web."
- Mephala: "No! How dare you, mortal."
- Telenger the Artificer: "I am the Artificer, madam. That's why I dare."
The room glows white, and you are teleported back to where you met Andewen at the start of the quest. Talk to Telenger. He thinks the temple is sealed, at least judging by Mephala's reaction.
- "It's a shame we didn't discover where the Falinesti have gone. it may have to remain one of Tamriel's great mysteries."
He thanks you and gives you a reward.
Notes[edit]
- The cultists near the corruption stones will only have ambient dialogue while doing the quest.
- It's not required to read the first note to locate Telenger. Finding him without reading the note completes the objective.
- The spider daedra fought while protecting Telenger have a unique ability that regular spider daedra don't: they will shoot lightning at you, yanking you towards the caster with great velocity.
Quest Stages[edit]
<Alias=LocationHold>
) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
