Quick Walkthrough[edit]
- Gather Gloomspore Fungal Mold.
- Talk to Bralthahawn in Markarth.
Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
The animals in Gloomreach have developed the ability to produce fungal mold, which appears unnatural and magical in nature. The Reach clans would like to study samples of the mold in order to discern their nature and whether or not this is a threat.
You're going to be able to collect samples from three locations in Gloomreach. The first is west of the chamber connecting the entrances from Blackreach and the Reach to the delve proper. Once you reach a fork in the road, head north. You'll find several Gloomspore Fungal Mold samples in this passageway. Look for a green glow, and you should find a mushroom to gather. After you've collected your first mushroom, head all the way east, then move into the chamber that lies in the southeast corner of the map. Your third fungal sample is located in the western chamber, where the delve's boss is located. Head up the hill, cross the bridge and make your way west. Once you've gathered three samples of fungal mold, return to Bralthahawn in Markarth to receive your reward.

- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
