Quest-Related Events[edit]
After you agree to act as Rigurt the Brash's aide, you can head to Jarl Morryn's cabin to meet with her. When you arrived she will be talking to Rinda. Once the Jarl has entered her cabin, you have the opportunity to ask her about the thanes involved.
- "I'm sorry, but Jarl Morryn has asked not to be disturbed.
Truly, the jarl was ambitious to try to get both thanes to meet with her at the same time, given their history." - Why are the thanes feuding?
- "Something to do with a New Life feast they attended at Karthwatch a few seasons back.
I don't know the details, but as I understand it, the whole thing was pretty idiotic. But neither one would forgive the other, so here we are."

- "Thane Svyne loves melees almost as much as he loves his meals. He's incredibly strong, and has an appetite to match.
I saw him eat a whole cockerel pie straight from the oven. Hadn't even cooled. He couldn't talk for nearly half a year."

After you have convinced the Thanes to attend the talks, you can return to Jarl Morryn. Rinda will be outside.
- "At first, I didn't believe Rigurt was an ambassador. He's not exactly what you'd expect."
After the quest:
- "Sounds like it's going to be another one of Jarl Morryn's famous political benders. I pity whatever servant has to mop up the cabin when they're finished in there."
