Skills and Abilities[edit]
- Though diminutive, and kept as pets by some adventuring sorts, the Sea Adder is a deadlier serpent compared even to the giant snake, preferring to get up close to its opponents. They also carry a sticky internal fluid that aids in catching and digesting the snake's prey. The larger Reef Viper is even more deadly, and a Boss variant is more deadly still. — Prima guide description[1]:217
- Bite
- A basic melee attack that deals low physical damage.
- Bile Sac
- The reef viper spews a green mass at its target, indicated by a small red circle. Stepping into it causes a green tether to form between the mass and the target, which then deals continuous low poison damage and snares. A large hollow red circle appears, and stepping outside of the limits of the circle removes the tether. Otherwise it will go away on its own after a long duration.
- Constricting Strike
- If the reef viper is standing further away from its target, it jumps through the air and if they reach their target, they wrap around them and bite them before letting go. Break Free can be used. This has almost the same animation as "Spring", other than the quick initial preparation spin at the start. This doesn't have an AoE indicators.
- Spring
- If the reef viper is standing further away from its target, it leaps forward and flies through the air to close the gap.
