Raevild Snowraven is a Nord bard found at the Skald's Retreat. After the related quest, she will be playing the lute near the entrance, and you won't be able to speak with her.

Quest-Related Events[edit]

When you find Sage Odana, you will find Raevild's unconscious body alongside several other unconscious skalds.

You will have to find her dream vision to learn the lyrics of the Song of Sinmur. She will be taking cover at the docks and it appears she is having a dream involving her mother:

"Mother, why don't you understand? I'm not some milk-drinking schoolgirl!"
I never said you were?
"Yes, you did! You don't believe in me. I can be a great skald. Walk Skyrim and learn the songs. Just name a tune and I'll belt out a lyric."
All right … daughter. Sing something from the "Song of Sinmur."
"Hah, ya old crow. How about the third line: 'About Ysgramor, greatest of us all.' See? I know the songs!"

Speaking to her again after learning the line:

"Silly old woman. Don't think I know my tales. Just wait, I'll be the greatest bard the holds have ever seen!"

Speaking to her again after you learned the entire song and before speaking to Sage Odana:

"I wonder if that old horse would make it to Winterhold? I could set out tonight…"

While you are defending Maraamur while he's playing the Song of Sinmur, Raevild's dream vision will appear to support the skald.

Once you succeeded in driving off Vaermina's forces, Raevild will be awake.

Notes[edit]

  • Her full name is only shown when seeing the dream version of her at the docks. Once awake, her name will only display as "Raevild".
