Philosopher's Cradle

Philosopher's Cradle is a Dwemer ruin found in Blackreach: Arkthzand Cavern, located just southwest of the Library of Arkthzand. It is reached by entering a whirlpool swirling in front of the waterfall. It is home to a special crafting site, where you may craft items in the Aetherial Ascension set.

Various Dwarven Architons patrol the halls behind the sealed doors, attempting to get in. They cannot be attacked and vice versa.

Notes

• Philosopher's Cradle previously appeared in Skyrim, as part of Nchuand-Zel. Staubin's Diary describes the tree as not native to the Reach and having an unknown significance to it.
• The whirlpool and its animation are identical to the one at Sea Keep.
