Old Deathwart

Old Deathwart is a death hopper who can be found at its pond in northeastern Blackwood.

Skills and Abilities

Several Gas Blossoms are present in the arena. As such, Old Deathwart can be somewhat lured into them to apply more damage. However, as Old Deathwart is prone to moving often during the fight, it won't stay near the active plants for long.

A few small dark green death hoppers are present alongside Old Deathwart at the start of the fight and detonate, dealing high poison damage. However, they are not summoned anymore after that, unlike the light green hoppers, which fight like standard death hoppers.

Bite

A basic melee attack dealing moderate physical damage.

Poison Spit

A basic ranged attack deals low poison damage.

Tongue Lash

Old Deathwart pulls its target to itself with its long, sticky tongue, indicated by a long red rectangle, dealing moderate physical damage and stunning briefly. This ability is used when standing both far and closer to it.

Toxic Leap

Old Deathwart jumps away, creating a burst of toxins in its wake, indicated by a red circular AoE, that deals high poison damage and knocks down affected targets. This however doesn't deal any damage to those standing where Old Deathwart leaps to.

Acid Pool

When standing further away, Old Deathwart spits up a pool of acid, indicated by a red circle, which deals continuous moderate poison damage. This can be interrupted.

Howl

Old Deathwart begins croaking loudly, covering the entire arena in an area of effect, dealing continuous high physical damage. This can be interrupted.

Splash

Old Deathwart jumps forward in the pond (the animation is similar to "Toxic Leap", but less wind-up), causing a large wave to spread out, dealing moderate physical damage as well as launching affected targets away and snaring them. This doesn't have an AoE indicator, as such it is hard to predict. Old Deathwart uses this ability often, making it go all over the arena during the fight.

Summon

Throughout the entire fight, small green death hoppers as well as Kotu Gava are passively summoned into the arena.

Feed

Old Deathwart eats a nearby Kotu Gava, healing for 10% of its health. This occurs often during the fight and cannot be interrupted, which can prolong the fight.
