Quest-Related Events[edit]
He will be busy plowing the grass and when you approach him:
- "Ohhh, these old bones aren't what they used to be…"
When first spoken to, he will offer you some work involving his current infestation problem:
- "You need somethin', friend? Got more than enough to do for two of me, so let me be unless you're looking for work."
- What kind of work are you offering?
- "Huh? So you're here to work? Why didn't you say so?
If you want to make yourself useful, we've got a nasty bug problem in our hay. Horses won't go near it if those things have nested inside. I guess they can smell 'em." - So you want me to deal with the bugs?
- "Yep. Just scatter the hay a bit and they should fly out. But here's the thing: glowflies make fantastic fishing bait. Instead of scaring 'em off, I want you to catch 'em.
Can't be wasting good bait." - I'll give it a try.
If spoke to before capturing the bugs:
- "Those bugs are in the hay. All over the place. Go get them!"
Once ten glowflies are collected, you will return to him and he suggest his son will pay you for the reward:
- "Done already? You get those bugs?"
- Right here.
- "This is a good batch. We'll have quite a haul with these. Run these over to my son, Ulfslod. He should be out fishing behind the house.
He'll have some coin for you. Honest work gets honest pay. Don't want anyone saying I'm a piker."
Speaking to him again before going to Ulfslod:
- "Did you find my boy, Ulfslod?"
Once you have completed the job, he will assure you he and his son can handle the rest:
- "I think me and my boy can handle the rest of the chores.
Truth to tell, I don't think you're cut out for farm work."
