Merchants in Wrothgar appear as part of a random encounter where you will come across an Orc Merchant cowering behind a dead Echatere while her Mercenary companion fights off two Roadside Bandits.

Dialogue

Merchant: "You said you'd protect me! In no way does this match my definition of protection!"

Mercenary: "Do you really want to get into this now? I'm kind of busy here!"

After the enemies are defeated you'll hear the following exchange:

Merchant: "My poor loyal beast, what a shame. You will not be forgotten."

Mercenary: "I'm not carrying that load. Let's get going before more of them come."

Merchant: "Thank you traveler. You've done the job I hired this apparent reject to do."

The encounter is similar to the A Bad Shortcut event found in Tamriel.
