Manilbor is a disgruntled Wood Elf found at Belarata. When you first meet him, he's tending to his injured brother, Elebor.

Quest-Related Events

As you approach the ruin, you'll come across an angry mob threatening Jurak-dar, with Manilbor among them. Several will be shouting threats. Manilbor himself will say:

Manilbor: "I'm sorry, brother. So sorry!"

Manilbor: "When we're through with him, there'll be nothing left but fur!"

Manilbor: "We'll get him back, you'll see. He'll rue the day he tricked us!"

Speak to him and he'll say:

"Don't believe anything that swindler says. Look what his garbage did to my brother. It's not safe!"

What happened?

"I bought a magic stone. Slipped it into Elebor's pocket to get back at him for rubbing ivy on my bedroll.
Not a minute later, he's struck by a bolt from the sky! Look at him! He's lucky to be alive!"

Can I see the stone?

"Sure, it's in my pack. I'll get it."

Manilbor does just as he said and goes to his pack. His brother, foreseeing what's about to happen tries to warn him:

Elebor: "Brother, no!"

Oltimbar: "Is that…?"

Manilbor: "Looks harmless, right? Wait, what's that tingling?"

Just then, a lightning bolt strikes Manilbor and he falls to the ground. He starts to recover and gets to his knees.

Oltimbar: "Cat, I warn you. Leave before someone dies."

Elebor: "Are you all right?"

Manilbor: "We're leaving, Elebor."

The two stand up and disappear into the distance.
