Madruin

Madruin is the ghost of a Wood Elf spirit master located in the southwest chamber of Vinedeath Cave. He is responsible for luring all the dead adventurers inside to their deaths in the maws of the local stranglers. He has a chance to drop the Tough Mining Boots of the Ranger, a unique item in the Ranger's Gait item set.

Skills and Abilities

Ice Arrow

A basic ranged attack that does minor frost damage.

Summon Burdening Eye

The enemy summons a Burdening Eye that moves toward the player.

Stare

If the Burdening Eye touches the player, it explodes, temporarily rooting the player in place and doing moderate magical damage.

Spell Absorption

The enemy channels a shield on an ally that greatly reduces magical damage taken. This spell can be interrupted to knock the enemy off balance.

Notes

• Two of his victims, Lirinwen and Nirolos, are alive outside the cave. Sugar-Tooth is trapped as well, but unlike the others, he was drawn in by the sweet-smelling fluid that stranglers produce to attract prey.
