Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
Imperial forces have seized control of Satakalaam. King Fahara'jad's army is here to take the city back, but before they can do that, General Thoda needs to rescue four hostages the Imperials are holding: Lord Zagari, Magistrate Govan, Shamone al-Sentinel, and Lady Moyaltha. He asks you to rescue the hostages in their stead to avoid a political nuance, and gives you a disguise in order to slip past the Imperial soldiers with a warning that the sentries will not be fooled by the disguise. Put on the disguise and look for the hostages in buildings inside the city.
Magistrate Govan is in the Abandoned House to the north, Lord Zagari is inside his house and Shamone al-Sentinel is atop the Guard Tower. The final hostage, Lady Moyaltha, is in her home. When you rescue her, she tells you that she suspects that Magnifico Khorshad sold Satakalaam out to the Imperials. The invaders have been coming into Satakalaam through some old smuggling tunnels that run beneath the mountains from Bangkorai into the city. She believes the entrance to one of those tunnels is beneath Magnifico Khorshad's Manor. Additionally, while everyone else was killed or held hostage, she saw the magnifico walking freely among the Imperials. She suggests that you search his manor, which lies at the northeast edge of the city.
Once you have saved the hostages, find Magnifico Khorshad's Manor. Upon entering the courtyard, Magnific Khorshad will tell the guards to attack you. The Imperial solders will attack you if you are not wearing a disguise, but they'll allow you to pass unharmed if you're wearing one. Enter the manor to find him on the second floor cowering at your arrival. He gives you the Smuggling Tunnel Key, and informs you of a Barrel of Kindlepitch you can use to collapse the tunnels. You may choose to kill Magnifico or spare his life. Either choice will not affect the outcome of the quest.
After making your choice, enter in the smuggling tunnel either below the stairs in the manor or outside in the manor stables. Collect the barrels of kindle pitch (note: if you try to collect kindle pitch around the imperial soldiers while in disguise, they will attack you) and set the west and the east weak support beams, then ignite the pillars. Take the south entrance to leave the collapsed tunnels, it appears that King King Fahara'jad's army has retaken the city. Find General Thoda, and speak with him for your reward.
Notes[edit]
- Even though the locations they are in can be accessed beforehand, the hostages won't exist in the city before starting the quest.
- There is no stabbing animation and Khorshad just falls dead if you decide to use the option to kill him.
- Despite there being an entrance to the tunnel in Khorshad's manor that can be used, the objective marker will point to the one outside by the stables instead.
Bugs[edit]
- This quest is part of the primary quest chain through the zone, but is not marked as a Story Quest.
Quest Stages[edit]

) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
