Icestalker

Icestalker is an ice Troll outfitted in scavenged Dwemer armor that serves as the first and only miniboss of Frostvault. It guards the entrance to the Dwemer ruins. During the fight he will be assisted by Ice Scuttler spiders and Ice Wraiths.

Skills and Abilities

As a boss type enemy, Icestalker is immune to all crowd control effects.

Slap

A basic melee attack that deals minor physical damage.

Rock Toss

The boss throws a boulder at a target, dealing moderate physical damage and knocking the target down as indicated by a red circle.

Leaping Crush

The boss jumps onto a far away target, dealing high physical damage and knocking back all players around it. Stay near the boss to prevent this, as it deals high damage with almost no telegraphing.

Ground Slam

The boss slams the ground causing shockwaves to appear in front of itself, dealing high physical damage. Stay behind the boss to avoid this unless you are the tank.

Lifting Strike

The boss uppercuts a random player sending them flying into the air. This is followed by the Frenzied Pummeling attack. This attack does no damage and cannot be avoided.

Frenzied Pummeling

Once the player lands, the boss will stun them and smash them with his fists dealing very high physical damage over time. Other players must interrupt the boss to free the stunned player quickly.

Summon Ice Scuttlers and Ice Wraiths

Throughout the fight as the boss's health drops, Ice Scuttlers and Ice Wraiths will spawn. The wraiths deal moderate physical damage and knockback with their heavy attacks and should be cleaved down quickly if possible. If player damage is insufficient to burn the boss quickly, focus on the adds first before going back to the boss.

Further into the caves, when you first approach Icestalker:

Tharayya: "I can see it! The entrance is just ahead!"

Icestalker: <Roars>

Tharayya: "Of course they have a troll."

Once it is dead, Tharayya will motion for everyone to head into the Dwemer ruins.

Notes

• Icestalker has some tattoos shared by nirncrux-infused trolls, likely being from asset re-use.

	Smash and Grab	50	Defeat all encounters in addition to Icestalker, Warlord Tzogvin, the Vault Protector, Rizzuk Bonechill, and the Stonekeeper within 30 minutes of entering Veteran Frostvault. Your timer starts upon entering combat.
