Fillia

Fillia is a Wood Elf grand Tribute master and member of the Roister's Club who can be found in the Sweetbreeze Cottage in Grahtwood.(map) She is the spirit of one of the founders of the club and the creators of the game. She will not play a game until Master Rank has been achieved.

Location Clue[edit]

Each of the Founders has gone into seclusion, so they must be tracked down from some hint or rumor that can be gotten after The Final Round has been completed. For Fillia, it's from Sorinne Gaerard.

"Well, now that the tournament is over, the only logical thing to do is to start preparing for the next one!
If I'm to have any chance of beating you, I've really got to up my game!"
Care to chat?
"I mean ... like over drinks? Ha! Only kidding!
What's the newest Tribute Master want to talk about? Strategies? Rare cards? The ingredients of Gelekh's eel pudding? Actually, let's avoid that last one."
Don't suppose you've ever met a Roister's Club Founder?
"A Founder? No, never. I did hear a crazy story about a card-playing ghost, though.
Probably guar dung, honestly, but given the state of the world nowadays, I'd believe just about any crazy story you told me."
Tell me more.
"According to the rumor, this ghost has a full set of Tribute cards. And she plays like ... like some kind of fortune teller-wizard.
I've thought about trying to find her more than once, but knowing my luck, she'd probably possess me or something."
Where can I find this ghost?
"I heard she haunts some cabin in the deepest groves of Grahtwood.
I've never had the chance to explore those woods, but if I do? You bet your last drake I'm going to find this ghost and wreck her deck!"

Dialogue[edit]

"Oh. You can see me? It takes a keen mind to see someone in my position. Welcome.
You'll find no rattling chains or slamming doors here, I promise. Just a lost soul, committed to a game that never ends."
Who are you?
"I am Fillia. Or I was. It hardly matters.
In life, I was a master of games! Games of all sorts. Cards, dice, parlor games … I loved them all. Alas, I ran afoul of a drunk who'd grown sick of me winning all the time. So, he put a knife in me."
Is that why you linger here? Because you were murdered?
"In part? Truthfully, I think other forces keep me here.
Before I died, I helped the Roister's Club craft their game. I played countless matches, but always won. To truly know a game, you must lose. Perhaps if I'm defeated, my spirit will move on."
I'd challenge you to a Tribute match.
"Tempting. But I sense that you are not ready. Only a master can defeat me.
Go and hone your craft. Challenge others and improve. When you reach the summit, return to me. I would relish a challenge."
I could challenge you.
"Hmm. Yes, I can sense your confidence. I gaze into your eyes and see victories beyond counting. Yes! You will be the one to put me the rest.
But be warned: I will not hold back. Only a true victory will set me free."
Let's play Tribute.

After the victory her soul will move on and disappear:

Fillia: "Yes … I am finally free. I leave you a gift, Tribute champion. Bless you."

Deck[edit]

Fillia uses a variant of the Ansei Frandar Hunding deck named Grand Master Fillia. The deck's Patron works exactly like Ansei Frandar Hunding, and is made up of two Ansei's Victory cards, two Blood Sacrifice cards, three Bonfire cards, three Conquest cards, three Grand Oratory cards, two Hagraven Matron cards, three Hira's End cards, and three Midnight Raid cards.
