Dialogue[edit]
Index Chamber[edit]
You can find them floating around in the entrance room and speak with them:
- "Let me know how you like the archives. I'm quite proud of the work I did in there."
- "This is my favorite room in the entire archive. The Index is useful and there's limited books to file. I can relax here."
- "I hope you're not expecting me to volunteer to go in there with you. That's not my purpose here. And frankly, I can't fight."
Infinite Archive[edit]
As you progress through the Archive you may encounter them:
- Filer Kyf: "Oh no. No. This is all wrong. I didn't file any of these books there!"
- Filer Kyf: "Don't damage the books!"
- Filer Kyf: "This is so exciting!"
- Filer Kyf: "This place looks fantastic. My organization really works."
- Filer Kyf: "Try not to get ink everywhere. This is an archive."
- Filer Kyf: "This wing is particularly flammable. Try not to set anything alight."
- Filer Kyf: "Wait! Let me get a good vantage point."
- Filer Kyf: "Be careful of that book. It looks suspicious."
- Filer Kyf: "What have they done to my beautiful filing system?"
- Filer Kyf: "Make the maligraphies pay!"
- Filer Kyf: "Please don't get surrounded. It's too stressful!"
- Filer Kyf: "You're getting rather good at this."
- Filer Kyf: "The Index will save you, but I don't think you'll need it."
- Filer Kyf: "You should have seen the state of this wing before we filed it."
- Filer Kyf: "Not many books misplaced here. Shouldn't be difficult to clean."
- Filer Kyf: "The way you dispatched the last one was incredible!"
- Filer Kyf: "This is one of Filer Eru's wings. But I'm sure that was evident."
During fire stages, they can say:
- Filer Kyf: "Step carefully. No one wants to fight with damaged shoes."
When you clear a stage:
- Filer Kyf: "I expected … well I can't tell you what I expected. But you exceed it."
- Filer Kyf: "I saw you in the Index. You move quicker than I thought."
- Filer Kyf: "Hmm. Not much damage to the general structure. This is salvageable."
- Filer Kyf: "Is it over? Good, good. Now I can get that book Malkhest needed."
- Filer Kyf: "It's clear! Thank you, mortal."
They can also appear and serve as a merchant: They can say one of the following as they appear:
- Filer Kyf: "Your gifts from Hermaeus Mora are ready for you here."
- Filer Kyf: "No more maligraphies? Excellent. I was concerned that they'd still be here."
- Filer Kyf: "Are you done in here? Oh, nearly. That's good then."
- Filer Kyf: "Hmm. Not much damage to the general structure. This is salvageable."
- Filer Kyf: "This wing doesn't look too out of sorts, but I'll have to do a full inventory to be sure."
You can talk to them:
- "Watching you fight, I almost understand Filer Eru's enthusiasm for violence. Almost.
The rewards for your efforts are there. Make your selection and move to the next battle."
- "I didn't file this wing. I mean, look at it.
Pick a Verse and take the portal out of here if you want to see something organized to perfection."
- "When you choose the Verse, do you think the tentacle will disappear? I don't mean to offend Hermaeus Mora, but it is throwing off the balance of this wing."
Replication Elimination[edit]
After defeating the boss, during Replication Elimination they may come to collect the nymic:
- Filer Kyf:' "There are no books up here. I'm too smart for that. Smart enough to take the fragment to Malkhest as well."
- Filer Kyf: "Retrieving these fragments is important, but keeping the maligraphies from destroying everything is important too."
- Filer Kyf: "Where is that fragment? Aha! Don't worry, I have it. See? All safe with me."
- Filer Kyf: "Let me just grab this fragment. Nothing to see here."
