Quest-Related Events[edit]
During the related quest, you are tasked with investigating the strange death of Belronen Telvanni in a duel with Vamen. Taking the role of Vivec, you can question Fenila during the investigation:
- "Lord Vivec, Vamen should be dead on the floor. Belronen wouldn't share the note that temple netch sent his way, but assured me its contents were vile.
One sworn to the temple, quibbling over coin? You should kill him yourself. My lord." - You desire Vamen's death? Let none doubt your abundance of candor.
While questioning Talnus Indoril, you will learn that, while Felina provided Belronen with her own dagger, the duelists ultimately swapped their weapons at Talnus' suggestion. You may then confront Fenila with this information:
- Vamen killed Belronen with your blade. A single nick and he died. Why?
- "Morami sold me poison yesterday. I'd planned to hunt cliff racers next week, but decided this was a better way to get rid of vermin. So I poisoned the blade.
Belronen should never have traded weapons! Worse, he should never have lost to Vamen." - Your actions led to Belronen's death.
- "My lord, the life of one such as Vamen bears no comparison to Belronen Telvanni. Yes, I sought to root corruption from the temple by poisoning that pile of scrib jelly. I'd do it again!"

After you have made your decision, Fenila and the other projections will vanish. Subsequently, the Engima of Vivec will appear and reveal that, while Fenila was rewarded for her cunning, House Redoran was punished for Belronen's death.
