This page lists all limited-time events which have taken place in The Elder Scrolls Online. They can be special occasions that only occur once, or they can be recurring every year.
Recurring events include:
- Anniversary Jubilee
- New Life Festival
- Jester's Festival
- Whitestrake's Mayhem
- Witches Festival
- Undaunted Celebration
- Zeal of Zenithar
- DLC anniversary celebrations: held around the anniversary of the release of one or more Zone DLCs, such as the Imperial City Celebration, Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood Celebration and Orsinium Celebration. These typically involve additional rewards for playing DLC content, including double drops from certain quests, bosses and resource nodes.
Non-recurring events include:
- New DLC celebrations: held some time after the release of a new chapter or DLC, such as Summerfall for the Summerset chapter, Dragon Rise for the Elsweyr chapter, and Dawn of the Dragonguard involving the Elsweyr chapter along with the Scalebreaker and Dragonhold DLCs. These sometimes give additional rewards for playing DLC content, often with added rewards based off the number of players participating in the event that are distributed to all participants once the event has concluded.
The Crown Store usually has special offers coinciding with these events, such as discounts on relevant DLCs and cosmetics, and can include the temporary return of limited availability items such as DLC Collector's Editions, Player Houses and Crown Crates. Sometimes the Crown Store also has additional sales corresponding to various real-world cultural events not otherwise celebrated in-game, such as Valentine's Day ("Heart's Day"), St Patrick's Day, Friday the 13th ("Fatal Fredas/Serpent 13"), a combined dye sale for Canada Day, US Independence Day & Bastille Day, and the annual Black Friday ("Black Fredas") sale.
Since late 2018, most game events have also provided Event Tickets to participants, used to purchase special items from the Impresario.
Some of the recurring events also have their own Achievements, some of which unlock special furnishings for purchase.

Anniversary Spotlight: Dress to Impress (Your Coven)[edit]
Fashion IS the real ESO end game, and this month you can get your hands on some spooky looks, just in time for the Witches Festival! Check out this announcement blog for all the details on what you need to do to unlock both the Witchmother’s Servant Arms Pack and the Grisly Mummy Wrap costume.
Witches Festival 2024[edit]
The Witches Festival is back with a new surprise – Lord Hollowjack himself strides forth from the clutter and darkness of Detritus to claim you as his next victim. Show him how big of a mistake that would be!
A new daily quest is available inside any of the Witchmother Breweries located in the wilderness of Glenumbra, Auridon, or Stonefalls. Priest Maxien Roudille will set you on the path to rescuing some of Hollowjack's haunted victims before confronting the Daedra Lord himself, but be warned! Though the activities up to that point can be done alone, Hollowjack himself is the most fearsome event boss to date and is balanced for 6 to 12 players of average skill and gear. Defeat him each day for his own unique Dremora Plunder Skull (sourced by the event quest reward) as well as an achievement that grants you a Hollowjack trophy furnishing. Continue to help others defeat the Lord of Fear for a chance to receive a Hollowjack bust furnishing from his gourdy remains!
This year's Plunder Skulls may contain a myriad of offerings, including spooky furnishings, recipes, alchemy supplies, and other treasures. Their Dremora Plunder Skull counterparts – available from the usual sources – have a chance to drop Witches Festival crafting writs (from which you can get Hollowjack style pages for those who need them), Glenmoril treasure maps, Crowborne Hunter style pages, or this year's new offerings – the Eltheric Revenant outfit style, the Plunder Skull Blunder memento, or fragments for the Senchal Horned Owl pet.
The Witches Festival grab bag this year contains the following items:
- Festival masks: Hollowjack Spectre, Pumpkin Spectre, Scarecrow Spectre, and Thicketman Spectre.
- Apple-Bobbing Cauldron Fragments
- Skeletal Marionette Memento Parts
- Throwing Bones Memento Fragments
- Marshmallow Toasty Treat Emote
- Witch's Bonfire Dust Memento
- Ghastly Visitation Memento
- Bonedust Pigment for the Witch-Tamed Bear Dog
- Bound style pages for the Witchmother's Servant outfit
- Possessed Shreds for the Ghost Netch pet
- Tome of Forbidden Appetites memento
- Bound versions of the Grave Dancer weapon style pages
Event Tickets come from the first boss-type creature that would drop a plunder skull. You can get two (2) Event Tickets per day this way, all in one parcel, as a drop from the boss.
This event also introduces the first TWO of FIVE total fragments for the final morph for this year's anniversary-themed collectible, the Haven of the Five Companions house! The Impresario will carry these fragments as usual, along with bound versions of this year's new offerings.

Legacy of the Bretons Celebration[edit]
This event is a return to High Isle and Galen and the adventures surrounding the Legacy of the Bretons storyline. Earn rewards by participating in challenges throughout both the chapter and DLC zones, the Dreadsail Reef trial, and the dungeons of Ascending Tide (Coral Aerie, Shipwright's Regret) and Lost Depths (Earthen Root Enclave, Graven Deep).
You receive 2 Event Tickets per day by doing one of the following:

Further, you can earn 1 gold-quality reward chest per day for completing listed daily quest content in either zone, and an additional gold-quality reward chest per day for defeating and looting the final boss of any of the listed Dungeons or the Dreadsail Reef trial. Subsequent completions/defeats of the respective quests/bosses that day, as well as most activities in the zone, will give you purple-quality boxes instead.
Reward chests contain drops from the respective source (e.g. Coral Aerie reward chests will drop Coral Aerie set gear), and also have a chance to drop a style page for the new Legacy of the Draoife outfit style.
This event will also introduce the third of five total fragments for the Haven of the Five Companions house reward, available from the Impresario.
Capture the Relic Battleground Weekend (December 2024)[edit]

New Life Festival 2024[edit]
- It's that time of year again! Some new rewards to find in your presents, including the New Life Winter Storm Robes Costume. Seriously, this thing looks so cozy. The new Snowglobe Surprise memento is also available from the Impresario and event reward boxes.
- Event tickets (3 per day) still come from any New Life daily quest you do, and the Impresario will have the final two fragments (out of five total) for the Haven of the Five Companions House.
Pan-Tamriel Celebration[edit]
Our ten-year anniversary of ESO continues with the new Pan-Tamriel Celebration! There's a lot to this, so get a mug of tea and settle in.
- First up, the familiar and expected. This event will award Event Tickets, 3 per day, from the same source that you would earn your first gold-quality reward box from (as outlined below). They should drop at the same time as the gold-quality box, so make sure you loot both!
- You can obtain reward boxes from a number of sources, listed below. The first one of these you do in a day gives you a gold-quality box and your event tickets. Additional activities done that day will give you purple-quality ones with slightly less stuff in them. These boxes have a bunch of goodies in them, including (but not limited to) pages for the Lion Guard Captain outfit style. Sources for the boxes include:
- Any delve boss in the game
- Any public dungeon boss in the game
- Any final dungeon boss in the game
- Any final trial boss in the game
- Any world boss in the game
- Any incursion event (Dolmens, Geysers, Dragons, etc.) in the game
- Attention Anglers! During Pan-Tamriel Celebration, fishing drops are curated. This checks against your current progress for the Master Angler achievement and makes sure that when a trophy fish drops, you get one you don't already have. You DO have to visit the right kind of fishing hole however (River, Foul, etc.), and land a trophy fish with the cast.
- Treasure hunters, during this event any chests you dig up using Treasure Maps will roll again on all of their existing loot, greatly improving your chance to get leads, furnishings, etc. that are exclusive to that source.
- The Impresario's Assistant has raided the warehouse to pull out TONS of old rewards, offering them at discount, so long as you visit him in the right place! The list of what he offers is contingent on where you find him, as outlined below:
- Necrom: Apocrypha Expedition outfit style (returning from Secrets of the Telvanni)
- High Isle: Oaken Order outfit style (returning from Heroes of High Isle)
- Blackwood: Y'ffre's Fallen-Wood outfit style (returning from Gates of Oblivion Celebration) and Voriplasm pet components (returning from Murkmire Celebration)
- Greymoor: Saarthal Scholar outfit style (from Dark Heart of Skyrim Celebration) and Sovngarde Stalwart outfit style (returning from Lost Treasures of Skyrim)
- Elsweyr: Claw Dancer Acolyte outfit style (returning from Season of the Dragon Celebration) and Ja'zennji Siir Garb outfit style (returning from Pan-Elsweyr Celebration)
- Summerset: Evergloam Champion outfit style (returning from Daedric War Celebration) and Snowhawk Mage outfit style (returning from Summerset Celebration), as well as Wooden Grave-Stake fragments (returning from Murkmire Celebration) and Gloam Gryphon Fledgling pet (also from Daedric War Celebration)
- Morrowind: Doctrine Ordinator outfit style, Slag Town Diver Skin, Thetys Ramarys's Bait Kit memento, and Microtized Verminous Fabricant pet (all from Tribunal Celebration)
- Most of these bits are going for an absolute steal at 2 event tickets each, with the fragments (where applicable) going for a mere 1 ticket each. Furthermore, everything except the Wooden Grave-Stake and Voriplasm pet fragments (due to the type of collectible fragment they are) can drop from reward boxes!
- The unique and bound style pages from 2024's Anniversary Jubilee are also back, with some improvements on their availability sourcing. As you earn achievements related to the sourcing, the chance to receive them from said sources increases dramatically. Here's the breakdown:
- Replica Trueflame Sword: Very rare drop from fishing. Less rare if you have either Dominion, Covenant, or Pact Fisherman achievement. Uncommon rarity if you have all base-game Master Angler achievements.
- Replica Staff of Worms: Very rare drop from dolmens. Less rare if you have either Dominion, Covenant, or Pact Anchor Shatterer achievement. Uncommon rarity if you have Anchors Away achievement.
- Replica Sunna'rah Staff and Replica Barbas Wolf Helmet: Very rare drop from Vvardenfell world bosses. Less rare if you have Defender of Morrowind achievement. Uncommon rarity if you have Savior of Morrowind achievement.
- Replica Ul'Vor Staff: Very rare drop from Abyssal Geysers. Less rare if you have Abyssal Devastator achievement. Uncommon rarity if you have Savior of Summerset achievement.
- The new morphing collectible is themed around Julianos, the Tamrielic deity of wisdom and logic. The base item available from the Impresario all year round is the Stonewisp of Truth and Logic, broken into three fragments of 5 Event Tickets each. During this event, she will also offer the first of three fragments for the Logical Rune Extraction customized action morph.
Whitestrake's Mayhem Q1 2025[edit]
Mayhem is back! Get your tickets the usual way, with 2 coming from your first Cyrodiil daily quest and 1 more coming from your first Imperial City district daily quest. Alliance Points, Tel Var stones, and Experience earned in any PvP-enabled zone are all increased by 100%, as last time.
- Arkay Unending Cycle is the new outfit style to chase from Pelinal's Boon Boxes. Other rewards rotate as noted here:
- Ayleid Lich can either be earned from Boon Boxes (if you already earned an Arkay Unending Cycle page that day) or from Imperial City sweepers.
- Sancre Tor Sentry weapon and outfit pages go into the Bag of Veteran's Glory.
- Dovah's Du'ul outfit pages still comes from sweepers this season.
Lastly, the Impresario will start carrying the second fragment of the Logical Rune Extraction customized action.

The God of Commerce ensures hard work pays off for the laborers of Tamriel during this event. Below are the details and any associated changes this year:
- "Honest Toil," the daily quest for the event, still awards 3 Event Tickets the first time you complete it per account each day. The Impresario will now will have all three fragments for the Master of Schemes personality. You'll have to supply your own arsenal of insults to fling at your incompetent minions.

- Completing "Honest Toil" on other characters after the first each day.

While he will still carry Unstable Morpholith pet fragments from 2021, and the appropriate seasonal rotation of its morph items, he is now doing the same with the Soulfire Dragon Illusion Pet and its morphs from 2022.
- His inventory will change slightly with the season, much like the Indrik vendor at the Belkarth Festival grounds, so check back with him frequently if you missed something from that year or the current offerings aren't to your liking.
- For this event specifically, he will be carrying the Scales of Akatosh skin fragments. When this event ends it will flip to the next "season" with the following event, offering fragments for the Aurelic Quasigriff. This rotation will continue accordingly as seasons change.

Anniversary Jubilee 2024[edit]
Happy 10th Birthday, ESO! Chef Donolon has decided to travel the world in search of new recipes and the secret meaning of cake. His adopted son, Apprentice Mogh, substitutes his cake-baking duties for the event. The young Khajiit is beset by envious bakers, and will need some brief help deterring their culinarily criminal caper before giving you your very own celebratory cake! The Molag Bal sculpture is made from 100% pure Black Marsh chocolate with bright blue toxic marsh slug dye, guaranteed to cause instant death to non-Argonians gratification and wonder for all!
- As with other events, such as Witches Festival and New Life Festival last year, the experience bonus previously provided by eating the cake is now PASSIVE during the event. You don't need to do anything to get it. It applies to everything! There's no buff to track and no need to summon the cake more than once a day for your 3 Event Tickets (which come from the cake as normal).
- During the event, completing any daily quest in Tamriel will give you an Anniversary Jubilee Gift Box in addition to its other rewards. These boxes will have a smattering of potential rewards including crafting materials, recipes, transmute crystals, and a chance to get an outfit style page for the new Earthbone Ayleid Armor Style.
- The first of these boxes you acquire in a day will be gold Glorious quality (substantially more rewarding than previous iterations of this box), while any subsequent daily done will be a purple-quality one (about as rewarding as previous iterations of Jubilee boxes).
- Glorious boxes also have a guaranteed fragment for the brand-new, event-unique Jubilee Steed!
- This event will run for an extended period next year, and you will be need to expend some event tickets on fragments of this cantering colt as well in order to acquire it – if such is your fancy, of course.
- You can now also get Jubilee boxes from the following activities while playing:
- Killing and looting any final Dungeon boss.
- Killing and looting any final Trial boss.
- Killing and looting World Bosses
- Completing any Incursion event (Dolmens, Geysers, Dragons, etc.)
- Rewards for the Worthy mails
- Tales of Tribute reward bags
- The Bag of Jubilee Yesteryear can offer you things you don't have from among Bonemold, Saberkeel, Worm Cult, Jephrine Paladin, Imperial Champion, Prophet, Lyris Titanborn, Sai Sahan, and Abnur Tharn outfit styles/motifs. It also has a chance to give you an additional style item for the Worm Cult motif, and if you somehow end up with a grab bag after claiming all of the rewards it can offer, the bag will instead contain a Group Repair Kit.
- In keeping with our 10th year of shenanigans in ESO, certain activities in the game will now offer you some unique, never-before-sourced cosmetic rewards from exploring certain areas or systems of the game.
- As an extremely small chance from any fishing node during the Jubilee, you may find Outfit Style pages for the Trueflame Sword Replica. Yes, really!
- Any Dolmen reward chest has a chance to contain a style page for the Staff of Worms Replica, in recognition (though not honor) of Mannimarco's dark deeds.
- Any World Boss in Vvardenfell has a chance to drop a style page for either the Sunna'rah Replica or the Barbas Wolf Helmet Replica, as seen during that chapter's story.
- Any Geyser in Summerset has a chance to drop a style page for the Ul'vor Staff, as seen during that chapter's story.
- The Impresario will offer cake furnishings for all cakes, including the new one, as long as you have the cake for the corresponding year.
- She will ALSO offer new furnishings for the individual slices of cake representing each of the major cake visual styles. Each of these cake slices are a single Event Ticket.
- She will also ALSO carry bound style pages for the Earthbone Ayleid armor style, as well as all three fragments for the Molag Bal Illusion Imp pet.
- She also also ALSO carries the first and second of three total fragments for the next morph, the Master of Schemes personality. The third fragment will become available in later events for that quarter.
Jester's Festival 2024[edit]
The Jesters Festival returns! As always, you can complete the introductory quest to acquire a Pie of Misrule as a delicious memento treat. The first Jesters Festival daily you complete each day will award you a gold-quality Stupendous Jester's Festival Box and 3 Event Tickets, with subsequent dailies granting purple quality Jester's Festival Boxes that have smaller chances to give you The Good Stuff.
- As with other events such as Witches Festival and New Life Festival last year, the experience bonus previously provided by eating the pie is now PASSIVE during the event. You don't need to do anything to get it. It applies to everything and there's no buff to track.

Guilds and Glory Celebration[edit]
What do Orcs, the Imperial Legion, a shady criminal syndicate, and a cult of murderous assassins have in common? They're all celebrated in the Guilds and Glory Celebration! And maybe making a pretty solid Activity Finder group while they're at it. The assassin is a healer, it's all good.
- This event focuses on the Orsinium, Imperial City, Thieves' Guild, and Dark Brotherhood DLCs.
- Your Event Tickets from this event come in a single batch of 2 tickets, awarded by completing any one of the following each day:
- Delve and World Boss Quests in Orsinium, Hew's Bane, the Gold Coast, or Imperial City
- The Weekly Trial Quest for Maw of Lorkhaj
- Killing and looting an Imperial City district sweeper or Coldharbour Elite Guard in the sewers
- Killing and looting the final boss of Imperial City Prison or White-Gold Tower
- Killing and looting the final boss of Maelstrom Arena
- Various bosses, resource nodes, and daily quests in any of the target DLC zones award extra loot during this event. Like with the earlier Gates of Oblivion Celebration, event coffers work a little differently here. There are zone boxes, Imperial City boxes and dungeon boxes, all named in accordance with the location they were gleaned from.
- Zone boxes are found by completing daily quests in their respective zones, killing delve and world bosses, public dungeon bosses, random enemies, treasure chests, safeboxes, resource nodes, thieves' troves, and pickpocketing NPCs.
- Dungeon boxes come from the final boss of Imperial City Prison, White-Gold Tower, and Maelstrom Arena.
- Imperial City boxes come from Imperial City daily quests, district sweepers, and the Coldharbour Elite Guards of the sewers.
- The first of these boxes each day is a Glorious quality box with higher drop chances of the good stuff. The first final dungeon boss of the two dungeons or the arena will offer a Glorious quality box of its respective type. You can earn 3 total Glorious boxes per day as a result, one from zone content, one from Imperial City content, and one from dungeon/arena content.
- These boxes can contain the following items:
- Crafting materials
- Saleable treasures
- Style items for Guilds and Glory overland or dungeon zone motifs (depending on box source)
- Set items from Guilds and Glory overland or dungeon zones (depending on box source)
- Imperial City key fragments (if from an Imperial City box)
- Tel Var stones (if from an Imperial City box)
- Companion gear
- Furnishing recipes
- Treasure Maps or Survey Reports
- Motif chapters for Guilds and Glory overland or dungeon motifs (depending on box source)
- Pages for the new Bristleback Hunter outfit style
- Note that final bosses from Veteran Dungeons/Arenas drop two boxes to account for their higher difficulty. If one of these would be eligible for being Glorious, you'll get one Glorious and one regular.
- These boxes can contain the following items:
- The Impresario will carry bound style pages of the Bristleback Hunter armor style for 5 tickets each. She will also have all three fragments of the new Molag Bal Imp pet and the first of three fragments for the Planemeld's Master face and body markings (one morph that contains both collectibles when completed).
