Esshri-dar is a Dagi who can be found during a random encounter in Southern Elsweyr. He was hired by Borogas to lead him to a certain location, and his client was unhappy with the results. They are traveling with an unnamed donkey.
Dialogue[edit]
You'll hear the two bickering out in the wilds of Southern Elsweyr:
- Borogas: "I hired you to lead me to a specific site, not the middle of nowhere!"
- Esshri-dar: "This one did what he promised, now pay what you owe!"
You can then speak with Esshri-dar to hear his side of the story:
- "Another outsider. Are you here to cheat me, too?"
- Did you try to cheat this wood elf?
- "This one did no such thing. He hired me to guide him to some area written in his stinking book, but now he refuses to pay."
- Why won't he pay you?
- "There was nothing at the place he sought to visit, just wilderness. This one knew of course, but the wood-elf never asked. Tourists rarely do.
Besides, this site was being used to trade skooma. The wood-elf's interest goes beyond idle curiosity, no?" - [Intimidate]You should have let him know there was nothing out here. He shouldn't have to pay.
- "Fine. This one has wasted enough time in this dung-heaper's company. Let him keep his filthy coin."
- Good luck working it out.
- (Ends the conversation)
If you intimidated Esshri-dar:
- Esshri-dar: "Keep your coin, you nasty elf. It likely reeks worse than you."
- Borogas: "What took you so long?"
Speaking with him:
- "We've spoken enough, outsider."
However, if you convinced to Borogas to pay the guide:
- Borogas: "Take the coin, you lying Khajiit. I hope it brings you nothing but despair."
- Esshri-dar: "It will bring him a good dinner and new tunic. This one thanks you for your patronage."
He will then thank you for the help if you talk to him:
- "Thank you for talking sense into that dirty elf. This one only wanted to be paid fairly for his work."
