Dialogue[edit]
- "This is Ear-Carver's fire, walker. Ear-Carver's and the Five Claws.
What makes you fragrant enough to share its warmth?"
- "You have wandered into the Five Claws camp. Are you lost?"
- "This one greets you. Welcome to the camp of the Five Claws.
But this one can't help but wonder, why are you here?" - The Five Claws?
- "That's what we call ourselves. The Five Claws. We were simple Baandari, but we turned out to be far better warriors than we were traders.
Except for Elf-Biter. Her juggling is sleek!"
- "That's what we call ourselves. The Five Claws. We were simple Baandari, but we turned out to be far better warriors than we were traders.
- What brings you to the Arena?
- "The Five Claws seek gold! Ear-Carver doesn't know what these furless ones have planned for the winners, but this one is certain someone will pay gold to get it.
Honestly, if we knew what it was and where to find it, we would simply steal it." - Maybe the reward is simply bragging rights.
- "Bah! Ziss on bragging rights! Fame doesn't put food in an empty belly. And for the Five Claws, such attention would be a curse.
It's harder to hide when everyone looks at you, yes?"
- "The Five Claws seek gold! Ear-Carver doesn't know what these furless ones have planned for the winners, but this one is certain someone will pay gold to get it.
- What can you tell me about the other competitors?
- "This one doesn't pay attention to the other warriors. They are boring and refuse to run when I want to chase them.
Many of them also smell bad." - There must be someone you're worried about.
- "This one cannot say. Besides, to admit worry is to show fear—and that is something Ear-Carver will never do."
- You haven't seen any of them in action?
- "Well, one of the red-birds did try to start a fight with Khasabi. He was very bad.
She stabbed him many, many times." - So, he wasn't ready for this level of competition?
- "Perhaps. It was not entirely his fault. He was fast asleep when Khasabi stabbed him.
Important lesson: Never pick a fight with a Khajiit if they know where you sleep. Now he drinks mead through a piece of straw. Sad for him, but amusing, yes?"
