Drozu

Drozu is a Dremora member of the nomadic Bladebearer Clan. He is found at the Bladebearer tent at Wretched Spire once The Durance Vile is started. He is a subordinate of Rynkyus and assists during the climb up Annihilarch's Summit.

The Durance Vile

He will appear at Rynkyus' camp but you won't be able to speak to him. He will be instructed to guard the camp.

Born of Grief

Before you start the quest, he will say:

"The kynreeve is not one to trouble himself with mortal allies. Perhaps there is more to you than is immediately evident."

When you start the quest and haven't speak to Lyranth yet:

"Bother one of my betters, mortal."

Once Arox hops into your bag:

"Did you not receive orders from Lyranth or Rynkyus? Why do you linger?"

If you speak to him before speaking to Rynkyus:

"Kynreeve Rynkyus is one of our clan's finest blades, mortal. Do not step between his edge and our foes."

Will you be climbing Annihilarch's Summit with us?

"I will follow the orders Kynreeve Rynkyus issues, mortal. I fail to see why this is a concern for you."

I want to know how many Bladebearers will accompany me.

"Is there some benefit mortals derive from casual queries? Curious. I have heard that mortals ask questions even when they know the answer.
Rynkyus will be with you. That is enough."

At the peak, Drozu will appear with the rest of your party:

"This is no time for idle talk, mortal. Our clan's enemies seek to escape our vengeance. Speak to Lyranth. Perhaps she knows where they have gone to hide."

After speaking to Lyranth:

"Our orders are simple. We are to protect Lyranth and keep this area secure while you go on ahead. Fear not our failure, mortal."

Back in Wretched Spire:

"Bother one of my betters, mortal."

After speaking to Lyranth, Rynkyus will issue orders to his Bladebearers:

Rynkyus: "Bladebearers! Scour the Deadlands for signs of the Waking Flame. Wherever Sister Celdina hides, we will find her!"

A portal opens and the team departs.

Deadlight

Arrive at the Plaza of Portals to meet with Rynkyus. Before you can speak a portal opens revealing Drozu and some Bladebearers:

Drozu: "Hail, Rynkyus! We found it!"

Rynkyus: "Report. What have you uncovered?"

Drozu: "You were correct. The mortal Dagonists have broken with Valkynaz Nokvroz. They retreat to a hidden stronghold in Deadlight."

Speak to him before speaking to Rynkyus:

"The kynreeve commanded us to track the mortals of the Waking Flame. You have put them on their heels with your efforts. Impressive, mortal.
Speak with Rynkyus. He has orders for you, as I have mine."

Speak to him before leaving:

"Kynreeve Rynkyus entrusts you with a mission of great importance. Good hunting, mortal.
And do not forget to remove the daedrat from the kynreeve's sight."

After Arox hops into your pack:

"Good hunting, mortal."

Against All Hope

After starting the quest with Lyranth; Arox, Rynkyus, Drozu, and Madam Whim will be downstairs discussing the next course of action. After speaking to Madam Whim, Rynkyus turns to his lieutenant:

Rynkyus: "Drozu, gather the Bladebearers. We must attack Ardent Hope before Nokvroz makes his next move."

Drozu: "Our swords are yours to command, Rynkyus."

<Drozu exits>

Return to Fargrave after defeating Nokvroz and seemingly all of Fargrave has turned out to celebrate your victory:

"Well fought, mortal champion. With the defeat of the traitor Nokvroz, our honor is once again unquestioned. And Fargrave remains safe for the independent clans.
You fight like us, so celebrate like us. Bask in the glory you have earned."

What will you do now, Drozu?

"Follow the orders of my kynreeve, of course. But if I must guess … I think Rynkyus will keep us in Fargrave for now. I am sure a few Waking Flame cultists still skulk around, hoping to escape punishment.
They should be disabused of that hope."

• Due to an oversight, Drozu will use the old Dremora skin and have different horns at some points during the main quest. ^?
