The Dream Eater is a lich found in Mistwatch Crevasse. It is tormenting the Skald-King, trying to keep him from awakening.

Quest-Related Events

When you get to the end of the hall during the first phase of Jorunn's nightmare, you will see the Dream Eater tormenting the Fractured Spirit of Jorunn:

Dream Eater: "Listen to them. Listen to their wailing cries. They died because of you. You threw their lives away. Now you are paying for it!"

You will dispatch the spirit temporarily shortly after.

Past the third campfire in the second phase of the nightmare, lies the Dream Eater, who tries to convince King Jorunn to give up:

Dream Eater: "Your sister cared for you deeply. Why fight this dream? Why not give in? You can be with her once more."

Fractured Spirit of Jorunn: "You can't stop me. I will not give in so easily. I will live on because of my sister."

After reaching to the top of the summit during the third portion of the dream, Jorunn will finally face off against the lich:

Dream Eater: "Give in to your dreams. Submit to the darkness!"

Fractured Spirit of Jorunn: "Never! I will wake from this dream. I will find my brother and any others who put our people at risk. They will all fall to my blade! This I swear!"

When the lich is close to being defeated for a final time:

Fractured Spirit of Jorunn: "You underestimate me and my allies, foul creature!"
