- Complete [4 / 12 / 20 / 30] Dragonguard Quests, including daily jobs from Dirge Truptor or Chizbari the Chipper, to restore the ancient order and unlock additional services at the Dragonguard Sanctum.
Dragonguard Operative and its preceding achievements are awarded for completing quests associated with the Dragonguard in Southern Elsweyr. Progressing though these achievement unlocks various upgrades to the Dragonguard Sanctum.
You may earn up to 9 quests just from completing the main Dragonhold quest line (including a few which can only be completed after also finishing the Elsweyr main quest line as well), but for the remaining 21 points, you will have to earn them by doing Daily Quests from the two quest givers at the Dragonguard Sanctum. Chizbari the Chipper only offers one quest, which can be completed once per day, but Dirge Truptor has 6 quests, which normally you can only do one of per day, though you can conceivably do all 6 by sharing quests with other players. The quests are as follows:
Quests[edit]
- Dirge Truptor's quests
- File Under D: Retrieve Dragonguard scrolls from the Reliquary of Stars.
- Sticks and Bones: Stop the Order of the New Moon and the Worm Cult from forging an unholy alliance.
- Rude Awakening: Stop the Order of the New Moon from recruiting in Stormhaven.
- Taking Them to Tusk: Disrupt the Order of the New Moon's courier to the Oathbound clan.
- Digging Up the Garden: Investigate rumors of an Akaviri burial at the Corpse Garden.
- A Lonely Grave: Find a lost Akaviri grave in a distant cave.
- Chizbari the Chipper's quest
- The Dragonguard's Quarry: Help the Dragonguard cull the Dragons in Southern Elsweyr.
Sanctum Upgrades[edit]
At each stage of these achievements, new services will begin to appear at the Sanctum:
Level 1[edit]
Completing 4 quests unlocks A Call to Arms. Chukka-Jekka the Chef appears, as well as several other NPCs, none of whom can be interacted with.
Level 2[edit]
Completing 12 quests unlocks Restoring the Order. The door to the Dragonguard Armory is unlocked, allowing you access to the crafting stations, where you can create items in the Ancient Dragonguard set. Thamisashi the bard shows up and brings a little atmosphere.
Level 3[edit]
Completing 20 quests unlocks Reforging the Dragonguard. Martina Ocella, the Achievement Furnisher appears, allowing you to purchase items for your home. In addition, Dahfnar appears, offering The Good Bits quest (which does not count towards these achievements, but does allow you to harvest Dragon Rheum).
Level 4[edit]
Completing 30 quests unlocks Dragonguard Operative. This grants access to the Dragonguard Supply Cache, a daily rewards chest located in front of Dirge Truptor. The cache may only be opened once per day per account. This chest may contain the following items:
- Rugged Adventurer's Backpack
- Rugged Document Pouch
- Robust Heavy Sack
- Southern Elsweyr Overland set pieces
- Normal alchemy reagents, including Butterfly Wings, Fleshfly Larva and Scrib Jelly
- Alchemy reagents obtained from Dragons, including Dragon's Bile, Dragon's Blood and Dragon Rheum
- Crafting Motif 81: New Moon Priest chapters and the Aeonstone Shard style material
Notes[edit]
- As of update 33, this is one of the few Achievements that is character-specific, not account-wide. As such, even if you have unlocked everything on one character, the Dragonguard Armory will remain locked on a second character until you have done 12 Dragonguard quests on THAT character, and so on.
- Note that, since the Dragonguard Supply Chest is only openable once per day per account, there is no good reason (other than the cosmetic of getting the achievement on multiple characters) to do 30 quests to unlock it on a second character. However, it may be useful to push as far as 20 quests to unlock Dragon Rheum drops on more than one character.
