Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
Talk to Nisuzi at the daily job brokers tent in Rimmen, and she may offer you this quest.
- "Nisuzi's clan often travels by lantern-light. Easier to avoid robbers and pesky guards at night, yes?
In the past, we fueled our lamps with oil from Darkpool Mine—a cavern to the southwest. But now, we must give it a wide berth." - Why?
- "Mad cultists who worship Merrunz, the Fire-Cat, took the cave for themselves. We might have been able to sneak around them, but now they summon huge Daedra by the pawful!
If you ruin these silly summoning rituals, Nisuzi will pay you handsomely." - Fair enough. I'll disrupt the cultists' rituals in Darkpool Mine.
You can stop the cultists' rituals by disrupting their three ritual braziers, found in three chambers within the mine. You can tell that a brazier is associated with the quest because there will be a giant Oblivion Gate behind it. On the map, they are located in the two middle rooms and the lower eastern room.
In order to be able to access these braziers, you may need to kill the three cultists that attend the brazier as well as the Banekin, Scamps, Clannfear and Iron Atronach that come out of the Oblivion Gate. Interact with the brazier to extinguish it. When the braziers are extinguished, return to Nisuzi for your reward.
Bugs[edit]
- Multiple members of your group can activate a brazier at once. This will progress the quest for everyone, allowing you to skip the other braziers. ?

- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
