Dialogue[edit]
Before you start the quest:
- "Please, just leave me be."
You find him lying sick in bed on the second floor of the Aegis of Auri-El.
- "What? What is it? My guts, still roiling. Damn the sea, and that Captain!"
- Captain Erronfaire sent me to find you. She wants you back on the Wave Cutter.
- "Ah, yes. Yes. No. No, I don't think so. Once was enough for me.
These legs were made for the land, and that's where they'll stay." - Why? What happened?
If he is not the last crew member to be found:
- "Sea sickness. My guts are over there in the corner, if you want to examine the aftermath.
Me, I'll be huddled here on this bed for a good long time." - Fine, fine. I'll tell the Captain.
If you talk to him afterwards, he will tell you:
- "I never should have left. Nothing like good solid ground."
If he is the last one to be found:
- "Sea sickness. My guts are over there in the corner, if you want to examine the aftermath.
Oh, I wish I'd listened to Degail. Such a smart girl." - Do you know where I can find Degail?
- "Last I heard, she went down the shore. I didn't want to get involved, but she and Anala got into it over some rumors.
Anala claimed that Maormer scouts were spotted nearby. And Degail didn't believe her at all." - Thanks.
If you talk to him afterwards, he will tell you:
- "I warned her. I told her I'd never been on a ship before. I think she was fine with my work.
Until I threw up on her boots."
After finishing the quest, he'll say:
- "I heard you found Degail! Lucky girl to have survived. Maormer aren't usually the type to take captives."
Notes[edit]
- Next to his bedside is a "food" item called Balithil's "Potato Porridge". If you take and eat it, you will gain a three-minute status effect called "Full of Regret", with the description "Your stomach is thankfully empty". This has no apparent effect on your character.
