Azureblight Frostmage

Azureblight Frostmages are tall Bosmer located within the Lair of Maarselok. They are remnants of the force sent against Maarselok until they were infected and controlled by the Azureblight.

Skills and Abilities[edit]

They cannot be killed. To stop them, you must burn down their damage shield to free them from Maarselok's grasp:

Ice Arrow
A basic ranged attack that does minor frost damage.
Ice Barrier
The enemy summons an Ice Barrier that absorbs projectiles fired at it until destroyed. The caster cannot be pulled if the wall stands between them and the enemy. The player should move so that there is a clear line of sight between themselves and the enemy.
Winter's Reach
The enemy unleashes an icy whirlwind in the direction it is facing. This whirlwind does moderate frost damage and roots all players that it hits. The root effect passes through block, but it can be escaped by roll dodging.
Summon Frost Atronach
The Frostmage will summon a small Frost Atronach.

Dialogue[edit]

They will say one of several things when engaged in combat. They are ominously jovial when under the influence of the Azureblight:

  • "You are lucky to be chosen."
  • "He will reshape you perfectly."
  • "We'll all be one soon."
  • "Maarselok offers you life."
  • "Can't you feel the call of Maarselok?"

When freed:

  • "Give that Dragon a sock in the jaw on my behalf, yeah?"
  • "Ugh, what happened? My mouth tastes like a compost heap …."
  • "Thank you. And apologies for any harm I caused …."
  • "Can't thank you enough. That was … vile."
