If you have not yet started the related quest, she will explain the situation:

"Plague. Coin's the only reason I'm here. My crew is under contract."

"The town alchemist has been tending the sick. In a local woman's barn, of all places. If you're determined to enter town, I won't stop you. Just mind yourself, hear?"

"Stay well. You don't want what these folks have."

Speaking to her while investigating Hendil:

"Still around? Good for you."

Anganirne is one of the people sympathetic toward what had happened to Hendil:

"I almost feel sorry for that alchemist guy. To have that happen to your son. Can't even think about it."
