Akiirdal is a dragon priest who can be found in the Dragon Priest's Burial Chamber in the Howling Sepulchers. He has seemingly been resurrected by a necromancer, and must be killed in order to clear the delve.

Skills and Abilities

Akiirdal uses all of the fire mage class abilities, as well as one additional unique ability.

Flare

A basic ranged attack that does minor flame damage.

Heat Wave

The enemy releases fire along the ground in the direction it is facing. This attack does moderate flame damage to all players hit by it. This spell can be interrupted to set the enemy off balance or simply avoided.

Fire Runes

The enemy shoots two fireballs in the air which form two fire runes when they land. The runes do moderate flame damage over time to all enemies within the red circles and should be avoided. Players should be prepared to move as soon as the attack casts as one rune will always be cast on top of you.

Summon Shade

Upon reaching 60% health, Akiirdal begins to glow green, and then summons a golden shade of himself. The shade will walk a short distance before summoning a portal that will in turn summon a scamp to attack you. If the shade is killed, he will summon another right away, and will keep using this move until he is defeated, making him an easy target.
