Quick Walkthrough[edit]
- Recover Halinjirr's notes and poison the crop.
- Talk to Falura.
- Decide to turn Halinjiir in or keep his secret.
Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
You come across a nervous Khajiit named Halinjiir, whose crops have been stolen by bandits. He wants you to enter Zainsipilu, retrieve his farming notes, and poison the water to destroy his crops. Enter Zainsipilu. It lies northwest of where you find Halinjirr.
Once inside Zainsipilu, you're going to want to find Halinjirr's notes. That's the closest objective to the entrance of the cavern. Follow the path until you end up in a massive chamber. Take the wooden bridge to the right, head past the waterfall to find the notes. Now head southwest and cross the lava river using the natural rock bridge. You can jump onto the rock wall in front of you and then climb over it.
Once you're over the rocks, make a left turn and cross the planks over the river. Enter the little cave passage and take Halinjirr's sugar toxin, then go back and poison the water source near the crops you passed after crossing the lava river. The delve's boss is in the chamber with the sugar toxin, so you may have the chance to complete the delve while you're here.
Once you've poisoned the underground spring, leave Zainsipilu and talk to Falura outside. Falura admits that she and Halinjirr were growing moon-sugar in the cavern. You have the option to either bring the notes to Halinjirr and let him go free, or turn his notes in to Captain Bethes in Seyda Neen. Speak with Halinjirr after finishing up with Falura and make your choice. Either hand the notes to Halinjirr, or lie to him and head to Seyda Neen to turn him in.
Notes[edit]
- Halinjirr's Notes won't exist in the delve before starting the quest.
- All the mudcrabs wallowing in the water source collapse and die after you pour the toxin.
Bugs[edit]
- While talking to Halinjiir after returning from the cave, the Dark Elf-specific dialogue option for the quest choice isn't red color-coded like the other two options. ?

- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
