Altar[edit]
- The altar is still functional but cannot be used due to 2 human arms, which cannot be moved, blocking the blessing from reaching you.
Someone else posted the info about not being able to use the altar here, following which I went and tested it and confirmed that indeed it cannot be used. Yes, you can activate the altar, and you see the animation occur, but your character does not receive the blessing. I tried from multiple angles and was unable to ever receive a blessing from the altar. And I can also confirm that I was unable to move the arms. So I'm not sure how in another game it would be possible to use the altar. Could the person who deleted this statement confirm that their character actually received the altar's blessing (i.e., was actually healed) when activating the altar? And were the two arms still sitting on top of the altar? --NepheleTalk 12:14, 3 July 2007 (EDT)
- I actually attempted this just a few days ago, after seeing the note about the human arms, and spent a good half hour attempting to receive that blessing from any angle. I don't know who changed the page, but my experience likewise indicates that reception of the blessing is not possible. --Kementari 12:28, 3 July 2007 (EDT)

- If you are on the PC, you can use the console to remove the arms. It doesnt really feel like "cheating" as its pretty dumb that you wouldnt be able to remove them from the altar.
- Enable the console, and click on an arm, then type "disable". The arm will disappear. Click on the other arm and repeat. The altar will now heal you. (This was tested). 209.134.75.234 18:59, 29 May 2008 (EDT)DarthShrute
- About the Actual Phrasing of the sentence, isn't there a better way of phrasing that? Because I noticed that it contradicts itself... Not sure if this is the right place though? Theyoster1

- I actually came across this altar and thought it was kinda funny how small it is. So I tried to activate it, but the spell didn't hit me. I waited 25 hours to reset the activation timer. Then I jumped up on top of it, crouched into sneak mode, and activated it from above. Voilla! The spell hit me and gave the normal chapel altar effect. - Just took another look at the altar (PS3 GotY version) and I can't make it work at all. Reading Nephele's test description (above) confuses me a bit, since I get absolutely no animation whatsoever, no matter what angle I try or if I crouch on the altar. Minor loot?[edit]
In the chest on top of the tower/the roof I found a Master Mortar & Pestle, does that really count as "minor treasure"? 81.225.224.161 11:26, 5 December 2008 (EST)
- As with most chests in the game, what anyone finds in that particular chest is random, and therefore 99% (or more) of players will not find a Master Mortar and Pestle. However, stating that the chest's contents are minor treasure was definitely an unnecessary oversimplification, given that we can provide far more accurate information about its possible contents. Therefore, I've replaced the phrase with a link to the article detailing that particular type of chest. --NepheleTalk 19:25, 5 December 2008 (EST)
About that Dead Treasure Hunter...[edit]
So I got kinda bored one day. I decided to check out "dead" people that are appearing all over the place in dungeons. I went to Cadlew and used the Staff of Worms on the treasure hunter there. I tried to lead him around, but he wouldn't move. So, bored, I started to fireball him around. He ended up about two feet from the door. So, I reanimated him, tried to get him to follow me, gave up, and walked out. I was suprised when the "Dead" treaure hunter showed up next to me outside. So, I tried it again, this time walking back inside. Sure enough he followed me. Of course, he still couldn't walk. So I fireballed him all the way to the Imperial City Waterfront and led him to my house. I reanimated him about two feet from the door and walked inside. And he followed. So this is really weird. He has the muscle memmory to open a door, yet he can't walk for his life. I'm not sure; dead people do wierd things. — Unsigned comment by Tau434 (talk • contribs) on 15 January 2009

UOP - altar fix[edit]

- An important point, the bug as listed is tackled indirectly, by replacing the altar with a static one, rather than the obvious route of making the arms movable. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 21:48, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
