Without a Trace[edit]

After the getting training from her the first time, Bralsa becomes impossible to find. I tried all of the tips (for locating her) and none of them worked. My journal does not say she is dead. Any ideas? — Unsigned comment by Mcall038 (talkcontribs) at 18:24 on 27 March 2008 (UTC)

If you are on the pc you can use the console command player.moveto 0018B121 to find her. Volanaro 14:29, 27 March 2008 (EDT)
If you cant find her countinuously wait until night or 7 am, then rinse and repeat, if shes not there by the 3 or 4th try shes likely dead. --Umbacano 3:38 , 5 April 2008 (EDT)

Problem with master training in destruction[edit]

For some reason, I had no problem whatsoever in finding her, but after I've brought her the bear pelts, and she agreed to train me, every time I tried to train with her (and I had plenty of cash), the only message I got was that I already trained all that I could for that level... I was level 76, I think. Well, 70-something in any case. It just wouldn't work! Is this something that can be fixed? — Unsigned comment by Marijica (talkcontribs) at 12:22 on 11 April 2008‎ (UTC)

You can only train five times per level in total, so if you had already trained five times in, say, Illusion, you can't train in Destruction until you level up. That's your character level, not your skill level. –RpehTCE 08:32, 11 April 2008 (EDT)

Only One[edit]

(moved from talk page)

Strangely enough, although Bralsa asks for 20 bear pelts, she only takes one away from you. Since the pelts are very heavy, it is advisable to sell the rest as soon as you can (each bear pelt has a weight of 8, and so 19 pelts will add 152 to your total weight).

This would seem to be either a case of the poster being mistaken or a one-off glitch. Either way, it should not be on the main article. –RpehTCE 16:40, 12 December 2008 (EST)
.... or else it's redundant. As already stated on the article "A bug may cause Bralsa to take less than twenty bear pelts from you. This may be caused by having a combination of stolen and non-stolen bear pelts in your inventory." --NepheleTalk 15:44, 18 December 2008 (EST)

Edits done to this page[edit]

After I looked at the Edit History of this page, I have a few questions. I too have followed her around for a huge amount of time, and back in the day when I added the schedule and the tips, it was based on countless tests and try-outs, on both high-level and low-level, and we seem to have lost quite a bit of information - and I would like to know why. Here we go:

 • How come most of the tips were deleted? It IS safest to approach her from Weatherleah, and THEN check if the Gate is there. Also, the bedroll tip is a-ok - she WILL return there if she's alive. It might take her several in-game hours, but if you arrive BEFORE 11pm, then she will come. (The "before" bit also mysteriously dissapeared, and that is very important info, as it can screw up the schedule and Bralsa's return to the bedroll)
 • Whats up with the 7 am thing? We have made 200+ pages using ordinary 7am (without space), so I really don't understand this new design.
 • I think her bedroll should be marked on the map - I tried to describe it, but if it isn't a big problem, it think it would be useful to add it. Just a suggestion, though.

Here, for the record, and in case they never make it to the main page, the tips as they were written:

 • As life in the wilderness can be dangerous, Bralsa is more than likely to die out in the fields. Mostly due to an Oblivion Gate (map) that might pop up in the middle of her preferred hunting area just southwest of the shrine. It is highly recommended always to approach her from Weatherleah, and if the Oblivion Gate have appeared, then close it right away, so the spawning Daedra won't kill her.
 • After the Destruction Master Training quest is completed, she can be very hard to find - mostly because she seems to trek even further away from the shrine, and because the quest marker is gone. A secure way to find her is to wait by her bedroll when the clock turns 11pm. If she's alive, she will come back to her camp within minutes, and then, when she's asleep, just use the wait feature to turn the time close to 7am. When she gets up, she will be available for training.

Okay, I'm responsible for a couple of those, so here are my responses to the ones I did or contributed to (that I'm aware of):
 • I had no issues with the bedroll tip, other than as it stood when I last saw it, it implied that she would be there at 11 instead of starting her trip back at that time, and possibly arriving an hour or more later, depending where she was coming from. This seems to be more problematic if the player is following her - the game seems to take "shortcuts" when the player is nowhere near the affected cells.
 • The time thing is also me. I've always used hard spaces before am & pm, and just did it automatically as I was editing. As to why, well, Wikipedia probably explains it best: "Stylebooks use a space between the number and the abbreviation a.m. or p.m., although that convention is widely violated." It probably says something about me that one of three books on my desktop is The Canadian Press Stylebook. :) However, if the site-wide convention is to make times look totally horrible <g> and not include a space, then I can go with that. We should probably add it to our Style Guide page, though.
 • Her trekking further away from the shrine after the training quest is not supported by her AI in the Construction Set. I have to assume it was just random luck, or possibly because you were following her more closely and staying in the same cells as she was. As I said in one of my edit summaries, when following her, I've had her make it all the way to the Imperial Bridge area, but I've never seen her go anywhere near that far if I just randomly wandered away and came back to search for her.
--Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 15:20, 14 June 2009 (EDT)
 • As a matter of fact, I don't really know if that "trekking further away" bit is true. It was a leftover from one of the old tips + a bit of input from this talk page. I thought I would include it, as it seemed verified. And there's this tricky thing regarding times (and I don't think we will ever be able to answer it), especially involving the infamous wait-and fast travel features. It's always a good tip to arrive near her bedroll at least one hour before she's supposed to return (from whereever she is) - and not having used any of those "troubled" features in the meantime.
 • Anyway, I think we should include as many tips (useful ones, of course) as we possibly can to those wilderness-master trainers, as they can die just like that preventing you from 100% completion. I know, that theres always a way out using the console on PC, but on Xbox and PS3 you're screwed big time. And that's what I was trying to do. How she spawns within the cell would be interesting knowledge (as to where exactly to look for her and where it is least dangerous to arrive via fast-travel) but in the meantime, I think the bedroll trick at 11pm works just fine. I would be glad to do even more testing, but I don't really know what to test - I have seen her get killed near Nonungalo and near the Oblivion Gate, and believe those two locations to be the most dangerous. As a result, I picked Weatherleah (which also was mentioned in the "old" tips) as the best destination for fast-travelling, i.e. the place with the smallest chance of spawning wildlife to kill her.
 • As for the 7am vs 7 am-thing. To correct those, we should make thousands of edits to the written NPC pages, and nobody have said anything before now (you even wrote it without hard spaces yourself a few months ago on the Dion-page). Not to say, that I'm for it without the hard spaces - or against. I think "horrible" is just fine - but maybe we should take this discussion to the ONPCRP-project page instead?
 • Anyways, I just wanted to know why the edits was done - thanks for answering! And if there's anything I can check on Bralsa (some weird theories or something) just let me know! All the best! Krusty 15:55, 14 June 2009 (EDT)
 • Yeah, I think there, I was following the standard already in use on the page. As for whether they use hard spaces or not in the long run, I wouldn't mind seeing the same policy as we're using for a few other rules, which is "don't change anything JUST for that, but if you want to change it while you're making other edits, go ahead". But at the same time, while it might be nicer for viewing (in my view, anyway), I'll be the first to admit, it really looks ugly when editing if you're using the proper thing. --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 16:20, 14 June 2009 (EDT)

Wayshrine, not Shrine.[edit]

Should'nt we be referring to the wayshrine of Kynareth as 'wayshrine' all the way through the article, to avoid confusion with 'shrine of Kynareth', which is in a different location?— Unsigned comment by 86.154.120.63 (talk) at 22:33 on 12 September 2009 (UTC)

The first mention of a shrine is wayshrine of Kynareth'. Afterwards, the term shrine is used to describe the wayshrine of Kynareth. I think it's clear enough that the wayshrine of Kynareth is the intention. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 23:04, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

Bralsa Andaren is unconscious[edit]

At 0:50 in this video, Bralsa is knocked out by a mountain lion. At 6:28, 6:42, 6:48, 6:58...basically a lot of times, she is knocked out by goblins, and their summoned Headless Zombies, and each time gets back up. Unless the person is running some kind of invincible NPC mod, she is essential at some point in the game, probably during the Destruction Training quest.
At 2:51, it shows her running through Hackdirt, where one of its notoriously ill-disposed denizens could conceivably encounter Friendly Fire...ball, but their low Aggression would likely prevent a battle. Anarchangel 11:22, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

No. She is only essential if you are running the UOP. rpeh •TCE 12:05, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Cool. Thanks. Anarchangel 14:05, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

Bedroll??[edit]

i will say, where is her bedroll? im sure all those things may work and be relevant, but where is the bedroll? can somebody like screenshot the map and point out where it would be roughly? --chopz4c1d 05:26, 15 April 2010‎ Chopz4c1d (UTC)

Just read the article: "her bedroll, which is located a few steps south of the shrine near three big rocks" Honestly, how hard can it be to take 5 minutes to walk around the shrine??? --SerCenKing Talk 08:03, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
ah yeah. nah cos when i first saw it from memory it seemed alot further away from the wayshrine so i assumed not to look near there :l — Unsigned comment by Chopz4c1d (talkcontribs) at 11:15 on 19 April 2010 (UTC)
Actually, I spent almost 1 whole hour searching for her because I was looking at the wrong Shrine. There is 2 Shrines very close to Rockbottom and The Fort but lack of use of Shrine names got me mixed up with the wrong one. I thought she had died and was about to give up before I saw someone appeal here for a more abundant use of 'shrine of kyraneth' (spelling) :l — Unsigned comment by 90.210.103.12 (talk) at 10:32 on 4 May 2010 (UTC)
Hmm, it seems like we have a problem describing the shrines' exact location on her page. The NPC summary says one thing and the intro description says something else. That will be corrected. Still, if you click the links to Rock Bottom Caverns or Nonungalo and choose the "show on map"-option, it is clear where the shrine is. The problem seems to be the inclusion of Weatherleah, so I'll go ahead and remove that. --Krusty 11:23, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

asking her to train me[edit]

i found her, but i cant ask her to train me. my level of destruction is 55. how can these be? can somebody help me pleas. — Unsigned comment by 84.195.155.195 (talk) at 20:57 on 16 June 2011 (UTC)

You should read through the quest page or, alternatively, the master training page. --Krusty 04:39, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

Bugged[edit]

I'm using the unofficial patch, and have the quest to talk to her about advanced training. When I try to talk to her she just tells me to go away because I'm scaring the animals. The console says I'm on quest stage 10. This person has figured out the problem and a workaround: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4845525-bralsa-andaren-wont-train-me/#entry64863771 --HunterZ (talk) 02:44, 6 July 2019 (UTC)

Can confirm this can happen, I'm playing with the unofficial patch and no other mods. Get destruction to 70, start the quest, and then find Bralsa. But she's defaulted to not start her greeting until stage 20, so at stage 10 she just tells you to go away. Requires manually setting the stage in order to proceed. Have not tested beyond one character, but cursory googling confirms that this is something more players are having trouble with. — Unsigned comment by 207.181.229.187 (talk) at 22:23 on 13 July 2019 (UTC)
I thought I was having this problem, but the 'available' time for services is backwards. 7 AM-11 PM is when she is NOT offering training. Go to her after 11 PM or before 7 AM. Bamspeedy (talk) 23:35, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
Bamspeedy's comment above, which I know to be correct as I just used it, is quite pertinent to the quest, so I'm going to go ahead and edit the wiki directly seeing as to how the comment is a few months old, but the wiki hasn't been updated yet. Not a comment on the speed of the wiki being updated, just explaining why I'm updating it (since I'll be directly contradicting what had been written in the original wiki, I figured I'd explain myself). keneticmotion (talk) 02:16, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
