Verification for jail days - PS3[edit]
Jail days dont affect the shade time. I thought it did and I was so confused that i could never get the a right even though i was subtracting the jail days and dividing by 8, but on ps3 you must divide total days by 8, and not worry about jail time. Doom Knight 09:25, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
- Never mind, disregard what I said about dividing the total days, i havent figured out what math to do yet. however i know you dont need to subtract the jail days. and divide by 8. that doesnt work. however, neither does dividing the total days by 8. I am testing further.
- Final Update, The Facts: My days, 1151, divided by 8 is equal to 143.88, yet i got it on this day. i give up in trying to solve why, but i had 994 jail days(dont ask) and that is my equation. — Unsigned comment by Doom Knight (talk • contribs) at 09:46 on 28 June 2011
Glitch: 2 Gems Doesn't Work[edit]
It takes 3 or more Grands to make this glitch work. the reason 2 doesn't is once you cast soul trap on the altar and try to take the grands out again, despite the quantity indicator reading 2 the game reads them as the amount of gems that are actually left (e.g. one). With three, though, the game will pop up the window asking you how many to take out and if you indicate three that's how many you will get. This is, of course, just what i have observed; it would be great if i could get verification from someone else. Thanks! Reizl 06:41, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
- It already says that on the page. Kitkat xxx •Talk•Contrib•E-mail 06:58, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

- No what it says is that 2 or 3 soul gems can be used and what I said is only three or more works. I saw the section, I even edited it to make more sense. i'd just like to put any disagreement on the number of gems required to rest. if no one disagrees with this then the part that indicates 2 can be used should be removed. — Unsigned comment by Reizl (talk • contribs) at 01:22 on 20 September 2011

- 3 gems doesn't seem to work either, unless the soul level matters (I used petty), or it's only on PC or something. I do not have the unofficial patch (PS3 version). EDIT: Oh wait, I didn't fill them myself. I'll try this again... — Unsigned comment by 24.13.196.80 (talk) at 15:35 on 11 December 2012

Playing with black soul gems freezes the game?[edit]
Playing on PS3, made ten black soul gems from duped empty grands, and I've had the game freeze twice now. Once when filling the last empty one in my inventory, and again (on reload from seconds before) when I dropped them all to pick them up and try to get them to stack. Any ideas? 67.183.254.238 17:49, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
Solved for now. I had 11 gems. I'm assuming the one that froze when filled, then froze after it was filled when I picked it up, was the one I got for free out of the altar. A necromancer made it then I killed him and took it from the altar. I dropped it and the rest of them seem to be acting normally now. 67.183.254.238 18:08, 7 November 2011 (UTC) Beanstyle

- You can find 2 during the Cheydinhal recomendation quest and Necromancer Adepts have a small chance of carrying black soul gems. You probably killed a few necromancers and looted their bodies without paying much attention to what they had. As far as I know merchants don't sell them, unless you sold them one before of course.RIM 11:44, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
