An inventory log of the smugglers' supplies

Inventory
Vshiir

Four boxes of silverware

One box of goldware

Six boxes of pottery (three fine, one high-quality)

Three dozen animal pelts (large jaguar skin and large polar bear fur will fetch nice price)

Twenty one bags of ingredients, spices and meat (expecting double the size when hunter parties return)

Seven small crates of tools (one of scales and weights, one with alchemy tools, one with scribe's instruments, four of building materials)

Three coffers of jewellery, several very fine stones, rings and pendants (will provide a large cut once they are delivered to Bravil)

Eleven magic staves

Two small boxes of scrolls and magical jewellery. Some excellent pieces in this lot

Assorted armor pieces. As usual, Cheydinhal contacts have again asked for more Night Elven, Shadowmail and Blood Leather armor

Obsidian and Eboron armor: full sets. Already scheduled for delivery to Leyawin--quick growth of heavy armor demand in this area

A dozen Akaviri design blades, varied quality

Four large crates of weaponry. Mostly low-quality

Five select pieces of Ayleid ancient bows and swords. I have a collector in mind who would be interested in these fine acquisitions. Summon contact in the Imperial City

The contraband is flowing fast out of our lair and into the turbulent outside. Cyrodiil is brimming with power struggles. A good opportunity to expand our trade, were it not for the meddlesome black market slavers recently arrived to our marshes. Pathetic fools, they have not seen a sliver of the pain we will inflict upon them--they are too far from their desolate homeland, their lungs are not made to breathe the life of our forests. They are as good as dead.

Still, Yeshani's words of wisdom ring true. Considering the state of affairs in Cyrodiil, we cannot expect the legion to divert forces towards Black Marsh. All the better, we do not want extra attention on our operations. However, in the turmoil we may be able to make alliances with courageous characters. They come out of the woodwork in times like these, smelling the scent of blood and gold. We may be able to use them, and reward them, should they prove their worth to us by getting rid of our enemies and aiding our kin.

Yeshani is wisest among us. Despite my reservations, I am beginning to hear the truth of her words. But I doubt that we will succeed by such counsel alone. Do the mighty of Black Marsh need to discover themselves to those in whom we cannot ever fully trust? I can't yet contemplate this solution to its extreme. It will have to get worse for my mind to change course that drastically, even if our kin are imprisoned by the slavers every day. Though now even Kizra is beginning to entertain this option. I am inclined to listen to her, if only in respect for our love-bond. Perhaps that is the same answer I should seek about our captured brothers and sisters. Their liberation is imperative to us, regardless of the risk involved. A leader's responsibility falls towards his people above all.
