Bring some monks seven bottles of water.
Quest Giver: Abbot, in Mourning Cave
Location(s): None
Reward: Seven black soul gems.
ID: ODDDienermonkshabendurst

Walkthrough[edit]

This quest is simple. Talk to the abbot; he's taken a vow of silence, so he'll give you a note requesting seven bottles of water for himself and his monks. You can buy it at Sydura Serai or find it in random containers; once you acquire the water, return to him, and he'll reward you with seven black soul gems.

4 I just got a note from the abbot pressed into my hand. Let's see what it says.
5 I just got a note from the abbot of a small order of monks. Since he can't talk, he asked me to get seven bottles of water for his order. Supposedly there is a reward, but what it is, wasn't clear.
10 Finishes quest☑ I have brought the abbot the water, and received seven black soul gems.

Notes
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in random order.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
  • On PC It is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering setstage ODDDienermonkshabendurst stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages. See SetStage for more information.
