Walkthrough

This quest starts when you find and activate one of the (numerous) secret doors in the Order Manor's reception hall - specifically, the one below the stairs. This leads to the Secret Path, an area of ruins and caves below the manor inhabited by goblins. First, you have to find a key, which sits on an altar in a room on the far side of the barred passage (you'll have to go all the way around to reach the room). When you take it, you'll hear a door opening.

Return to the ruins part and look for a solid wooden door at the bottom of the stairs; this leads to an apparently dead-end room with an Acrobatic Potion. Look for a lever behind one of the pillars; pull it, and a secret door behind one of the niches up above will open. You can climb up the fallen pillar and skirt around the ledge to the door, or you can simply drink the potion and jump up. Either way, the passage leads to a hidden garden, where you'll find Ilkgel. He's non-hostile and quite friendly; he mines gold, and will be happy to give it to you in exchange for some beer. Each time you talk to him, if you bring him 30 bottles of beer, he'll give you 5 gold nuggets.

(Secret: There's a turn handle on the rocks near the mine entrance; turn it, and it lowers a rock that reveals a path leading up to the rocks at the top of the waterfall; there's a small table and chair here, along with some goodies.)

40		I made a deal with the goblin in the hidden garden. I'll bring him 30 bottles of beer, and for that he will bring the gold in the mine located in the garden.
50	Finishes quest	I brought the goblin Ilkgel 30 bottles of beer. Now he is prepared to dig out the gold in the mine for me.

Notes

• Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
• Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in random order.
• If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
• It is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering setstage ODDSecretGarden stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages. See SetStage for more information.
