Oblivion XP conversion into BAIN-Ready package[edit]
- Notes: Oblivion XP Update is already BAIN-Friendly.
Initial Evaluation[edit]
The "Oblivion XP" folder needs to be installed manually because of the INI file it contains. Oblivion XP's plugin looks for that folder in the Data folder.
Conversion Steps[edit]
- Create a "00 Core Files" folder
- Move the Sound folder, Textures folder and the ESP into "00 Core Files"
- Rename the "Oblivion XP" folder, "00 Docs"
- Move the INI from out of "00 Docs" into "00 Core Files"
- Create a "01 DarN" folder
- Create a 01 DarkUIdDarN folder
- Create a 01 Vanilla folder
- Duplicate the Menus folder three times (so that you have four versions of it)
- In one of the Menus folder delete all files and folders except for the "prefabs" folder
- Move that folder into 00 Core Files (and rename it to "Menus" if necessary)
- Delete the "prefabs" folder from all of the other copies of the Menus folder
- Delete the "prefabs" folder from all of the other copies of the Menus folder
- In one of the Menus folders, remove the "_Vanilla" from the end of each XML file (one at the top level, three in "Main")1) Delete all other "_<some UI mod>" XML files
- Move that folder into 01 Vanilla and make sure its name is "Menus" (rename it if necessary)
- In each of the other copies of the Menus folder delete the "_Vanilla" XMLs
- For one copy of the Menus folder, remove all of the "_DarN" XMLs and remove the "_DarkUIdDarN" from the remaining XMLs
- Move that folder into "01 DarkUIdDarN"
- Remove the "_DarkUIdDarN" files from the remaing copy of the Menus folder
- Remove "_DarN" from each of the XMLs
- Rename the folder to "Menus" (if necessary) and move it into the 01 DarN folder
- Select all, right-click and (7-zip) add them to "Oblivion XP-15619.7z"
