Should We Add the Early Icons?

I've recently uploaded the remaining missing skill icons Bethesda put on the Elder Scrolls website for the Morrowind Codex. You can view the unused icons here. The colors and style of the icons are very similar to the other early icons in prerelease screenshots. See here and here for examples. While these were uploaded to the website, I think it'd be appropriate to showcase them here, as they were certainly created for the game itself during development. The final artwork for the skill icons is based directly on these, but have had their left side border removed and color schemes significantly simplified. the splash screens

I have scoured the PC version's files for these unused splash screens. Are you sure they are in the game files? the Xbox version uses Tip versions of specific ones but that means nothing as the ones in question are the plain ones. If this is a misconception that they are in the data, we need to confirm this, and alter that information accordingly. 38.124.125.166 02:58, 7 February 2025 (UTC)

I have looked through the files as well and have not found them either. The splash screens in the game are also a different size, 1024x1024. I think these were likely just used as pre-release media for uploaded to the es.com website and also sent out to journalists to publish in articles. The page has been reworded to note this.
