Morrowind talk:The Boy Who Would Be Undead
Level requirement?[edit]
- Player must be at least twelfth level before this quest is available.
- Moved to discussion. There is no level requirement for this quest in the CS. If you can prove otherwise, outside of a third-party walk-through, we will restore the note. --Brf 15:24, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

- I just took a look at the walk-through that prompted this note, and they have it completely backward. The walk-through claims that you will not be offered this quest if you are a vampire, which is totally backward. This is a vampire quest. You must be a vampire to do it. Also, killing Ano Vando or Merta have no effect on this quest. --Brf 15:50, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
can reward be found upon looting?[edit]
Am I correct in assuming Fathasa's Ring is not present in her inventory? There's no mention of whether or not murdering Fathasa is a waste or if this bypassed the quest portion of acquiring this ring. The wording I've found implies that the ring is awarded to the player directly, rather than her transferring it from her inventory to the player's. However I'm not 100% certain. Any input? - I've checked in the CS; Fathasa's ring does not exist in the game until it is given to the player upon completion of the quest. The ring is added to the player's inventory by the result script of the convinced my son dialogue topic. Killing Fathasa will prevent you from completing the quest and receiving the ring. — Wolfborn(Howl) 16:14, 18 October 2023 (UTC)
Fighting Sanvyn via Taunting[edit]
I just completed this quest, and upon getting to the "convince him" part he was not willing to attack me outright. I had to taunt him (though, only 2 successful taunts were necessary). So far, so good, in line with the instructions here. I unequipped my weapons and armor and let him beat me up. I got the "you are weak and everything I have been told about vampires is a lie" dialogue, then when it closed... he kept fighting me. I had to leave the cell and wait 72 hours before reentering. I am not sure if it is a result of needing to taunt him to provoke a fight or perhaps one of the mods I have installed (only bug fixes and etc., nothing that should affect this quest), so not sure if it is only on my end, or if ANY taunting him into fighting negates the "stop fighting when..." dialogue. If anyone else can confirm, it would be great to add it as a note to the page, I just don't want to add it if it isn't true for everyone. (EDIT: Signed in so I can track this topic.)
