Bolding?[edit]
Mkay, I remember a discussion a couple weeks back, I was confused by bolded locations, and someone told me it was because they wanted to show that there ought not be links for locations. Why do this page and Sterdecan's Farm exist, by that logic? Somercy 12:41, 5 March 2007 (EST)
- I'm not exactly sure why you're asking that, but I'm pretty sure that we keep this article, since it is about a unique farm. Obviously, we can't have links for every location in the game, but Sterdecan's Farm is notable enough to get a link, in my opinion.--Ratwar 12:48, 5 March 2007 (EST)
- Out of morbid curiousity, I guess...same for this article...is that notable? Somercy 12:49, 5 March 2007 (EST)
- Why do I feel like you're watching me paint myself into a corner? I would say that it is notable, yes. --Ratwar 13:14, 5 March 2007 (EST)
- The difference between these locations and things like inns and shops in the cities is that they're NOT in a city, and thus there's no other page that talks about them. Any location of significant interest outside of the main cities will get its own page, because there's nowhere else to put that information. (Possible exceptions would be for places like Dragonclaw Rock which is only notable as a landmark on a single quest.) --TheRealLurlock Talk 14:04, 5 March 2007 (EST)

Uh... is this gap in logic ever explained?[edit]
Um, why the hell does the dude who helps slaves escape like... have a slave? Is this ever explained in game?--Catmaniac66 17:06, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
- If I remember when I last visited the farm Jo'Ren-Dar is a slave that has escaped, but hasn't had his gauntlet removed. I'll have to check in a minute. --Alpha Kenny Buddy 17:17, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

- Only info I was able to get was the "There is no escape" statement, but this is the normal response when there is no key, so there might not be verifiable info on why the slave is there. --Catmaniac66 17:26, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

- After you escort Hides-his-foot, if you talk to him again he'll say "I must travel with Sterdecan until he passes me on to another. If all goes well, I will see my homeland again." Presumably, Jo'Ren-Dar is a slave Sterdecan hasn't been able to pass on yet. Alternatively, he could have volunteered to stay and help the Twin Lamps. A farmer without a slave in these parts is a little obvious. That's just guesswork though. rpeh •T•C•E• 18:58, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
