Adding mistakes?[edit]
It should be noted that -for some strange reason- this patch actually adds some mistakes to the game. Some quests that have worked fine before and finished as intended will - with this patch- stay in the journal as unfinished quests. Somehow the makers of this patch have removed the checks from the finished box of several quests. I'll post the ones I have found when I get to it. -85.176.255.40 09:21, 28 July 2008 (EDT)
Another bug that is ADDED by the UMP is that it doubles 5 NPCs in the Balmora Mages Guild (all the mages downstairs). -92.228.20.204 13:50, 9 August 2008 (EDT)
- I In v 1.6.4, I can tell you that this has been fixed and is not the case. Unsure about other bugs, like quests etc. 81.23.50.232 16:57, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
Quests that are "broken" by the patch(broken meaning that they will remain as "active quests" in the journal although they are completed)
- MV_Bugrol
- MV_Slavemule
- MV_ThiefTrader
- MV_RUnawaySlave
- MV_DeadTaxman
- MG_Potion
- MG_StealBook
- TT_Compassion
- TG_Withershins
- TG_RedoranCookbook

Another quest: A1_V_VivecInformants -92.227.82.23 17:00, 10 December 2008 (EST)
Haven't seen any problems myself... maybe another mod is conflicting with UMP? Clean all mods from GMSTs etc. 88.112.84.42 07:25, 24 December 2008 (EST)
I think it would be useful to put a link to version 1.22b, as it is the last one that does not require Tribunal and Bloodmoon. Found a bug there, though: this quest can't be done - http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Retrieve_the_Scrap_Metal195.189.80.50 04:03, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
UMP[edit]
We should move this to Tes3Mod:Unofficial Morrowind Patch. We shouldn't have abbreviations for articles. C Teng [talk] 18:16, 12 October 2008 (EDT)
We should move this to Tes3Mod:Morrowind_Patch_Project - quorn has renamed the project starting with 1.6.4 Reve 17:39, 16 June 2009 (EDT)
Errors with unzipping - V 1.64[edit]
I'm trying to install the unofficial Morrowind patch, version 1.64.
It just says to 'unzip them into the Morrowind directory'.
When I try to, winRAR just gives me a huge list of errors - every file is repeated, once with the message 'access is denied' and the other with the message 'cannot find the path specified'.
I'm trying to extract them to the 'Morrowind' folder in my program files. I've tried extracting them while the zip is in the folder, I've tried extracting them from elsewhere, but whenever I try to extract them to the program files folder I get these errors - I'm the only user on the PC, administrator account, so I don't see how it can be an issue with 'administrator permission' or somesuch.
Can somebody help? Thanks in advance Mental Gear 16:10, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
- If by the odd chance others have this problem or if you still do, I believe I know the solution.
- If you're running windows vista, you'll need administration approval to add files to the program files. The easiest fix is to just extract the files to your desk top then copy/cut them into the proper program directory. An administration approval message will come up, just agree and they'll copy over. --24.215.120.46 00:44, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Question on Xbox compatibility[edit]
I'm well aware of the fact that this patch is meant for the PC version of the game, but after hearing about my friend installing mods on his Xbox 360 copy of Oblivion using a USB drive, I wondered if the same could done for Morrowind. If at all remotely possible, could I get directions? --108.36.249.51 17:05, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
BTB Edited MPP[edit]
I think we should add a link to BTB Edited MPP. It fixes the problems with the original 1.6.5 MPP with The Pilgrim's Path book and the awarding of Mephala's Skill from the Threads of the Webspinner quest.

Broken Link for 1.6.5b[edit]
The 1.6.5b patch is no longer available on sendspace (the first link). This link should be removed. — Unsigned comment by 98.103.19.52 (talk) at 00:18 on 4 April 2013
link to MPP 1.6.4[edit]
ElricM is long gone, the link is invalid.
Dead links everywhere[edit]
There doesn't seem to be any way to actually get 1.6.6 up and running, since no links for 1.6.5b exist. There aren't any for 1.6.4 either. So it looks like the only options are 1.6.3 or 1.6.5BTB. 69.207.195.6 04:15, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
- The whole Assimilation Lab went down now, which they warned about a few months ago. Great, now people have to use PfP which is hosted exclusively on the bloatware, datamining, fraudulent Nexus Mods.31.173.120.16 21:25, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
