The Devourer is an unused item that didn't make it into the final game. Since it wasn't directly implemented into the game it can't be spawned with console commands, unlike most other pieces of unused content. All that can be found of the book is its model, texture, and icon in the Morrowind BSA file. For more information on unused content in general, please see the related page.
Notes[edit]
- The original mesh is incomplete. The model's faces and normals are flipped. The model can be fixed by simply flipping the normals and the faces again to their correct state, otherwise the model allows you to look inside it and parts disappear based on the angle you view it from.
- This book is likely a reference to H.P. Lovecraft's fictional grimoire, the Necronomicon. The face present on this grimoire is likely a reference to The Evil Dead's original grimoire design. The book's name may be a reference to Abholos (Devourer in the Mist), one of Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos creatures.
