Beden Giladren

Beden Giladren is a Dark Elf pilgrim who was taken hostage by the outcast Ashlander Manat Shimmabadas. You may be sent to find him by Lloros Sarano of House Redoran. He only wears a common shirt and pants. Aside from his natural resistance to fire and the sanctuary provided by his ancestors, he knows no spells.

Dialogue[edit]

  • Greeting:
"Hey! %PCRace! I'm Beden Giladren, a poor pilgrim trapped by these ashlanders. Can you get me out of here? These ashlanders are holding me for ransom."
"Nice to see you again. I'm Beden Giladren in case you forgot. Can you get me out of here? These ashlanders are holding me for ransom."

You may resolve Beden's captivity several different ways:

"You paid my ransom? Thank you, %PCName. I'll continue on the pilgrimages on my own."
"You killed Manat? If you kill the other two ashlanders outside, I can make my escape."
"The ashlanders are dead? I wish you didn't have to kill them, but now I am free to continue to pilgrimage on my own."
"I will continue my pilgrimage on my own. Thank you again, %PCName."
  • Beden Giladren:
"Yes, I'm Beden Giladren. These ashlanders have me trapped here. Can you get me out?"

After you have spoken to his captors:

"I thought the Ashlanders would kill me so I told them that I was a famous noble. I knew it was wrong, but what else could I do?"

After you free him:

"Thank you, %PCName. This pilgrimage has taught me a lesson in humility. I will ponder this lesson for awhile and then continue the pilgrimage."
