The Red Year[edit]

I think we should add some info from The Red Year book from the Dragonborn dlc. Random Shadowscale (talk) 01:20, 21 July 2014 (GMT)

Like what? We don't know anything about the Red Year's specific effect on Tear, although it might be worth noting that it likely suffered from the Argonian invasion. —Legoless (talk) 02:42, 21 July 2014 (GMT)
The source mentions that it seemed like the swamp swallowed half the city, and it was around a mile away before. He also said that the south wall crumbled. Random Shadowscale (talk) 02:58, 21 July 2014 (GMT)

Thornmarsh?[edit]

If that unknown area ?4 on the potential future zones map is really Thornmarsh, then it also contains a part of Morrowind with Tear (as it doesn't have anywhere else to go), so the region info could be put on Tear's page. Just confirm my thinking and I'll do it. --Vordur Steel-Hammer (TINV1K) 12:54, 9 November 2014 (GMT)

Based entirely on the shape of the region on the map, I agree that would be logical. However, they have moved a few places around a bit since the Codex map (eg, the shape of the land around Blacklight), so it may end up being somewhere else. I'd say go for it for now, as we can always change it if more info comes out later. --Enodoc (talk) 13:03, 9 November 2014 (GMT)
If you mean the ESO in-game map, then it's inconsistent even with itself and the developers will probably have to fix it when many new regions are added, because otherwise they won't even fit to each other. But yeah, some things got moved, most notably Mournhold, and also most of the Morrowind/Black Marsh border was moved north so Morrowind got a little smaller.
Anyway, I'm going to add the region to Tear then. --Vordur Steel-Hammer (TINV1K) 13:22, 9 November 2014 (GMT)
I've undone the change. Pre-release information shouldn't be used in lore, especially when it's speculatory. The given source mentions nothing about Tear. —Legoless (talk) 17:01, 9 November 2014 (GMT)

Tear[edit]

Just wondering: is it "tear" as in "tear apart" or "tear" as in "I cried a tear"? Or another pronunciation, such as Tëar? — Unsigned comment by 80.218.78.187 (talk) at 20:19 on 7 August 2015 (UTC)

Crying tear, I think. —Legoless (talk) 22:07, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
