Removing details[edit]

Was the removal the details about Aranias really necessary? I think they really fit the article, as Silatar played an important role in her story. And if they really should be removed, then they should be at least added to Lore:Wilderking or somewhere else, in order not to lose them. --Vordur Steel-Hammer (TINV1K) 11:11, 6 July 2016 (UTC)

I think it would make sense to have the info at Online:Silatar, because that's game-specific information. Or more appropriately Online:Aranias. It doesn't really need to be in Lore-space though. — TheRealLurlock (talk) 12:36, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
I don't think moving it to gamespace would be appropriate. An article at Lore:Aranias is probably better. I plan to re-add a couple important points which were removed though, because her story really is central to the island. The part about the Spinner magic is admittedly a little unnecessary since it didn't actually affect Silatar. —Legoless (talk) 21:20, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
My thoughts exactly. Thanks. --Vordur Steel-Hammer (TINV1K) 21:50, 6 July 2016 (UTC)

Abecean[edit]

Is there a source for the island being in the Abecean Sea? I can't find one. Mindtrait0r (talk) 12:46, 6 May 2024 (UTC)

We do have information about its approximate location: "Me? I was born and raised in the Summerset Isles, on a rather small island known as Silatar. It's a pretty secluded place." said by ON:Aranias. So it is part of Summerset Isles, but its exact location within the archipelago is unknown. Tyrvarion (talk) 12:56, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
This info was removed from the page due to the ESO map marker no longer appearing in-game. In the absence of any other source, I'm not sure why we would discount this map location just because it was only visible in an older version of the game. —Legoless (talk) 14:18, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
I removed it because upon further research, the world map position it offered was a default position shared by multiple far-off regions, including Abecean Sea. However, I'm struggling to find the original source I had for this. I'll revert for now and update if I can find what I read. Mindtrait0r (talk) 14:43, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
Found it. Here's the link to the Discord message in the UESP server. Here's the Imgur link displaying the position. Per Enodoc, Eyevea, Stirk, Silatar, and Abecean Sea all used to direct there. Eyevea, Stirk (I assume), and Abecean Sea have all had their positions updated, whereas Silatar's has been removed. Mindtrait0r (talk) 15:02, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
